I got a buddy that put 4 of them evl 6.5's in a custom oversized box and you would be surprised what they can do.. he got the box in a 1997 jeep grand Cherokee and it Flexes the front windshield.. nothing crazy but for some 6.5's 😁😁🔊🌪

Question; On data sheet is written that 50hz is the lowest tone that is produce.. In real life, two of these in one 20 liter box how low they come down in ur opinion? loud 30Hz it's a real guess?

I was using a pair of those in my rear doors... I know I know. But they sound so good till I burned up one. The don't like much about 120hz. They will stink before they die. So you will get warning. Had the cutoff set to 150hz.

Lol it’s fine. I was thinking about installing it in one of my rear doors also! Because my 18s might unload on it, causing it to bottom out or damage, even when it’s not turned on. But yeah I wouldn’t recommend going that high in the HZs range lol. But they do sound awesome though

I was just going to ask if they would sound good in the front doors with the super tweeters, or if I should get what everyone gets and get the FSX's. These are beast, though and I'm leaning towards them. (No subs or amps yet) just the super tweeters.

Yeah the EVL line of subs have a nice clean sound!

How much watts did you put into the sub ?

Umm my 05 Pontiac Grand Prix has 6.5 in the front doors stock... Thinking about throwing some of these in there

I wish i could chill witcha and hear that system. Man,, my EVLs took so long to break in all the way,, i could turn it up all the way after like 20 hours but i remember the subs being kinda punchy almost for a long while, they arent as punchy now, they drop earthquakes and just dump low as f now. Also i had to fix a wire that helped the lows more too.. THe punch was always strong even when my lows werent all there yet. Fixed wire, break in subs,,, LOWS...lol People said they can hear me like 500 yards away or so.. They said i can hear you all the way down at that stop light from where we were standing, which is like 500 - 800 yards ish. 4500 skv and the EVLs sealed.

If you’re ever in the South Georgia or North Florida area I will happily give you a demo. It’s much more violent in person! I would love to hear your system also. But yeah the EVLS does sound different once broken in. They lose some of the punch but hits lower than before

SSA is pretty good. They originally came out of the Fi Audio build house, until Fi Audio stopped building subs for them and crossfire. I don’t know who designs and build their subs now. But I know it’s still high quality though

i have a grand marquis and i want to put maybe 1 or 2 of them in my trunk i don't want to be heard only seen but i want the bass to stay inside the car only i don't want to attract attention ya see

I had 2 of them sealed on an alpine 500w rms and kept getting smell from the voice could. They are over rated and sound just wasn’t that great for me. Loved the evl 12” tho

I have one in my front passenger dash this woofer sucks balls it doesn't even keep up with the mids on my doors box is also build to specs

They are rated at 200w rms. You are giving each sub 125% rated power so yea you can expect them to get hot. What is your final impedance? Did you check voltage at the speaker output on amplifier while running a test tone? Or use oscilloscope or otherwise to make sure you aren't clipping? I'm not saying you are wrong about this sub, but you might not be using it exactly as it was made to be used

@@RandoManFPV these little speakers don't play lows anybrand not just these 6.5 use higher frequency to play . I have ct sounds meso as my mid right now and it's set to play 57hz-200hz
