Just bought 2 of these to go in the seat behind my single cab truck. Haven't got them installed yet, so this makes me feed better about my purchase. Build quality is very good, so went ahead and ordered two 6.5's for the doors.

Glad to see more videos of this sub. I have 4 of these (D2's) going in under the back seat of my crewcab. Can't wait, nice vid.

Which skar amp would be good to use on the2 ohm.. VD 8 350 watt Max woofer??... hooked it up to a subwoofer Channel on a 5 Channel Alpine which means it's only getting about 75 Watts...

I really wanted a pair of 12s but I may try getting 4 8s for an under the rear seat install. They look good.

I did a zvx8 on my mustang . Dam this speaker is still stiff af I doubt this thing is going to loosen up not liking it after 3 days I know it’s suppose to go through a brake in but no way the stiffness is going away .

What amp are you running with that one speaker set up ?

I’m getting two of these. But what do you recommend I’m putting it underneath a crew cab Silverado should I go 10’s or 12’s 4ohm or 2ohm ? Thanks !

inbumedfenix if you can fit two 10s behind the back seat do that, if you don't have space, go with 8s under the seats. If you're going to do 2 subwoofers go with dvc4 so your final ohm load is 1ohm.

2 12s would be WAY to much. Get 2 8s

Been looking around for an 8 inch , there’s three that I’m interested just don’t know which one to go for, either the massive hippo 8’ , the American bass vfl or this one??? What do you think?

Those are all great choices. It all depends how much space your working with, what budget you're on and how much boom you are looking for. I have 2 VD 8's in my van under the seats on 800 watts, in way to small box and they sound awesome.

razorred7 I really don’t have too much space, I got two 12’s in a sealed box with a ct sounds 500.1 D mono block amp. They take too much space so I’ve been seeing these videos on here with these little eight inch subs that bump nice.

@@eduardo13405 if you are going to do 8's make sure the subwoofer are more then 250 rms and above. I found that 150 rms on subwoofers are just not enough for me, but that's just my opinion.

Question... is this sub still hitting hard after over a year of use, looking for something that’ll last and add a little bump to my jeep

I like to install a subwoofers on each passenger and driver seat on my cargo van the pedestal measures 14 x 16 and 8 inches deep. Do you recommend a 8 inch or 10 inch? Thank you 🔊🔊

If you can fit the VD8's in there go with that. Don't get flat 10inch speaker they just don't hit like the VD8'S. Out of all the subwoofer I put under my seats the VD8'S were the best.

@@RMACIAS2460 I depends on how much space you have. I used 1/2 inch MDF and it worked very well. You are not the only one that has ask me how I made these boxes. I'll make a short video so you can see what I did, if I get a chance tomorrow to shoot the video that will give time to edit it.

What was the volume of that box? Sealed or ported?

Jack khol I don't know I made them and then put them under my seats in that van each box has two ports there an inch and a half pieces of PVC pipe that are about 4 inches long.

Its a sundown sa model..different logo and magnet boot..do the research..they have history together.. Look at the design.

I used a app called music maker jam. You buy 4 to 8 second loops then you have to put them together.

Corbin Stone your going to need serious power. Go with the RP 3500 1d or the RP 4500 1d. Your going to have to upgrade your charging system with that kind of power.

Jay I'm sorry to hear that,I am not paid by Skar I just personally like them. I'm still bumping my VD 8's in my van and I absolutely love them. The vvx eights have that flat cone which I'm not a fan of but that's probably why it may have came apart .

Mataniya Israel if you go to Amazon and type in, 8 inch subwoofer box there are boxes that are 0.80 cubic feet, that's the one you want to get. The VD 8s want 0.75 cubic feet ported.
