The most important point about Zach is that he’s not a finished product by any stretch. You have a big man (7’4), who has a very soft touch in his jumper and has the ability to block shots and rebound. I was hoping he would slide to the 2nd round and the Pacers could pick him up (they need his rebounding ability). But it’s looking like the guy will be a R1 pick.

Edey has only been playing for 6 years. He has a lot of room to grow. I think there's serious upside there. Plus, the offense won't change a ton with him on the floor.

Edey would be very interesting on the Sixers. Rebounding and rim protection would be taken care of on the cheap. Maybe some Embiid at the 4? hmmmm

Zach Edey can shoot, he makes his free throws, he can shoot the 3, same type of game when Embidd was in college.

I’d love to draft a backup 7 ft center for embiid. Sign PG13 in free agency. Let go of Tobias. Resign oubre. And that’s a good off season in my eyes

bro this is exactly what we need. a center to lock down the paint while embiid is taking a breather. just play elite defense, get rebounds, and make ur free throws. this guy checks the all the boxes

I’d love it if they addressed backup center in the draft. Then, you can trade for Bridges and Dorian Finney-Smith. Re-sign Oubre. Bring back Hield, Melton, Payne, and Batum. Then your starting 5 becomes: Maxey Bridges Oubre Finney-Smith Embiid Payne Melton Hield Batum Edey That’s a pretty good start if you ask me.

Zach Will be gone, Miami has their eye on him and the Kings. I like him, he can be a good back up for Joel, who should only play 30 minutes a game given his history.

Honestly I would like that if they drafted this guy he's 74 you could be a Wemby stopper in the paint add a solid backup for embiid because he's already worked with Nick nurse already.

no. trade the pick instead. Zach Edey is just another mo bamba at worse; steve adams/zubac at best. We should not even be entertaining the idea of drafting a one dimensional older rookie in the 1st round lol. C'mon man, zach edey is a mid 2nd round player at best.

I guess everyone knows the chances of a draft pick staying with the Sixers is so very small. Sixers need rebounding and too bad we aren't thinking of the future and younger players.

Look theres noone in college nor the NBA who can stop him when he gets his position in the post and he can hit the 3 and he can get much better BUT he's a secret lottery pick theres no way Phillys gonna get him. Hes a generational player like Zion Williamson and lots of teams are just keeping quiet so they can pick him late in the lottery. A decade or more ago he'd be a #1 pick.

I have been wanting Zach since after the Tournament! He's only 21, and can help Embid for now while grow into Maxey's longtime running mate. He has plenty of time to develop his shooting, just like Maxey did. He's a solid investment!

I don’t understand why you cant just post him up in the NBA. Who’s going to stop him inside? Today’s NBA is stupid. He shouldn’t switch or shoot jumpers just be Yao Ming 2.0.

Then you are a fan who doesn’t pay attention. They drafted the best guys available center or not to see their worth and then trade them if nothing transpired. That was the process. Searching for star talent. There wasn’t much. We didn’t miss out on really anyone you can think off the top of your head that would have made a difference. The league made hinkie step down, so the process was never completed. The 6ers were forced to use assets to build a team. Which didn’t really work out other than the butler months.
