// IMPORTANT Any links containing amzn.to are affiliate links and I earn commission through these links. I teach using just one of many accents in the world. Please only learn it if you like it and if you are interested in learning it. I do not believe there is one “correct” accent or manner of pronunciation and I fully encourage EFL/ESL learners to expose themselves to as many varieties of English around the world to become accustomed to the beautiful variations of this world language. I focus mostly on teaching “Modern RP” (I may just say “RP” in my older videos, but to clarify, I do specifically mean “Modern RP”), however, you will hear a lovely little Yorkshire twang to my accent from time to time too. Please LOVE and BE PROUD of your accent. After all, it is part of your identity and makes you unique. 💚 #englishpronunciation #englishteacher #englishlesson

    I just spent 2 weeks in Yorkshire, and have discovered it's my favorite part of England. Used to be Cornwall and Cotswolds, but now, I'm a Yorkshire ladd for sure!!! Can't wait to go back next year. THANK YOU.

    Thank you so much, Emma! I remember a young girl in 'Downton Abbey' that at the beginning had this accent 😉 I like your 'teacher's English', it's very easy to me to understand it. But I also like this one in particular. Thank you again for your videos! 🙃

    Yes, it definitely sounds like something older. I doubt you’ll hear anyone under the age of, say, 30 using this. Stick with “nothing” (or nout in the north) and you’ll be safe :)

    Is complaining about the sun a yorkshire thing or british in general? lol.

  • @Pronunciationwithemma

    @Pronunciationwithemma

    5 жыл бұрын

    English. We complain if it rains. If it's sunny. If it's TOO sunny. If it's not sunny enough. If it's cold. If it's hot. If it's too hot or too cold. We just complain about the weather a lot! Haha. In all fairness though, I personally don't complain about it too much, it's just a pain when it comes to filming as the lighting changes, or it sometimes not light enough.
