i remember when this was unveiled at the Man on a Ledge weekly in Pittsburgh right before Dark Frames, that was a crazy night of melee

amazing custom content that the Smash community was too busy to care about, again, who's shocked with surprise?? I'm happy this is getting more spotlight though! I remember when this stuff could have/did come out in the modding scene, and even trying to sell the concept on playing baby versions of that sleek in-dev 6Player teams mod. No takers/believers on Skype/IRC lol. Those old 5-player (6th dummy) USBGecko videos on Melee still only have a few thousand views too :/ anyway, thanks

Great video. if you access Melee's debug mode menu, you can kind of play custom 6 player matches with CPUs. 2 of them have to be CPUs, but 4 can be human players. I've done this, it's pretty surreal lol.

I thought this was going to be about the Action Replay mod to play 6 character games where players 5 and 6 had to be CPUs. So I was expecting a section about that level 9 Ganon tech lol. There was also an issue with that mod that if character 5 or 6 were in 4th place or higher then the game would freeze at the victory screen, which would happen every game in teams. Anyway, I'm kinda surprised that it wasn't even mentioned in a 34 minute video about Melee Triples. I guess not even DC knew about it?
