That reveal for Falcon’s Flight was the goofiest thing I’ve ever seen, it looked like a Planet Coaster layout made by a 10 year old. It’s going to be like the coaster tower in Orlando and keep on getting delayed until it’s eventually forgotten. If it does open, however, I’ll be happily surprised.

@@vegguid According to a quick google, the website for it has been taken down, so it's pretty much canceled for all intents and purposes. The last official update (years and years ago) said that it would open in 2019. Guess not!

It won't really go 200 mph like the meter says though. That part is fake. Also they should have made a professional animation/simulation. That animation was made in Planet Coaster by someone who didn't know how to play Planet Coaster.

2023 is so, so short to build a park this big. Disneyland Paris, another heavily themed park build from the ground up was also build in 4 years but had many fewer attractions at opening day. Only a single rollercoaster, four dark rides and a handfull of flatrides. They might have crazy amounts of money from the crown prince. But time cannot be bought.

With the exception of you saying this will be built "in a random place in the middle of nowhere lol, i really enjoyed your raw and honest analysis. I agree with most of what you said. I'm a Saudi coaster fan and I travel the world chasing coasters (ie last month I did Steel vengeance, Taron and Untamed!) so my excitement is biased towards the dream of this happening 20 minutes from where I live - but I do subscribe to a lot of what you said about scale and time,. However, as a local, having seen how other recent mega projects in the last couple of years have developed and broke grounds & progressed, almost always successfully and on time, makes me think this will indeed happen. and I hope that when it does, I'll be your tour guide in Riyadh. Thanks for the videos.

Falcon's Flight reminds me of the time I built a roller coaster in RCT3 called "The Brain Pulverizer".

You may not survive Falcon’s Flight but it will be the tallest, fastest and longest for sure!!

Well Six Flags does have some expertise on success, especially in the general public’s eye with their sheer size and name. It’s a well loved brand outside the enthusiast community so makes sense. Hardly anyone knows the name of any other theme park owners since their name isn’t on the entrance if every park 🤷🏼‍♂️

Devin Schroath The only issue I have seen with this outside of the enthusiast community is that a vast majority don’t know there is more that one Six Flags park. It’s crazy the number of times I’ve had to explain that. But I do agree with the fact that they have a strong brand.

The Qiddiya Group's holdings in the desert is HUGE, over twice the size of Walt Disney World. It is 40 minutes outside Riyadh in the mountainous, rocky desert (200m cliffs could make for a heck of a terrain coaster). Phase I is set for to open in 2023 and they have a lot of money, so who knows? As for Six Flags involvement, I say the less the better.

Oh, it's in Saudi Arabia? In that case, this is actually probably going to happen. Saudi Arabia is a bit like the UAE these days - they know that their oil is eventually going to run out, so they're dumping all their liquid capital into solid assets in order to maintain a strong economy afterwards. Of course, _when_ it happens is another thing.

Yeah, I saw that rendering yesterday and instantly thought this was not gonna work. And if it is real, everything you mentioned is true. Cedar fair would do a lot better with this project (my opinion). But if cedar fair takes The park,witch they won’t, they wouldn’t build falcons fury. BTW: I love the channel and the content on it. You got me into roller coasters and thought me a lot. Not that important but I got LROTNOB ( behemoth )

true, the steal thing might even be GCI with their new style it'd be partially steel the way they plan to do inversions. Either that or it's just going to be like Goliath but sized down. I doubt Gravity Group unless they are just being silly claiming steel (maybe steel supports) with wooden track, which really isn't a hybrid. Kinda, but definitely one of those "it's not a" marketing gimmicks.

To be fair the last park cedar fair opened was also in the 70s the 1870s

This park looks like something out of a dream, a dream that looks too good to be true. This park looks ridiculous. Even if this park gets ends up opening, there is no way the rides we see in this concept will be built. Instead we may see a little more toned down versions of the rides shown in the renderings, and by toned down I mean not insane looking roller coasters that do extremely wacko maneuvers. First of all... Falcon's Flight is not happening. There is no way a roller coaster of that scale is even remotely affordable. That being said I do feel like this park could get Intamin to build the new world's tallest and fastest roller coaster tho, something along the lines of Kingda Ka, but taller and faster. 492 ft (150 m) maybe? In terms of the other coasters. There is an RMC ground up hybrid, a multi-launch coaster (either Intamin or Premier), as well as a tilt coaster (likely Vekoma). If this park gets built, these coasters won't be as insane as they appear in the concept art. THAT TILT COASTER HAS A SPIRAL DROP LIKE WTF??? That is definitely going to change into a regular straight down drop in the final drafts for that ride. Also that multi-like launch coaster looks insanely huge. The only coaster that sounds realistic is that RMC! All this negativity put aside, I really hope this park gets built. I also hope that Six Flags and the Qiddiya group don't get to far ahead of themselves to the point this whole plan gets out of reach. They should start small and slow, and see where that takes them.

I’ll be flying to Saudi Arabia as well. Maybe not opening week, or month...I’d probably want to give them a bit of time to work out the kinks. How exciting. I’m keeping optimistic.

If nothing else, this release gave all the coaster channels something to talk about for a couple of days. Not to mention the inevitable progress, speculation, analysis, and "what went wrong?" videos over the next several years. It's a gift!

I think your prediction about it being delayed will be correct. As far as i know, The London Entertainment Resort was announced around 2012 and meant to open in 2018/2019, but construction hasnt started yet and they're looking at at least 2023/2024. I think the park will open around 2028 - 2032.

I am actually a saudi myself and used to live near riyadh and if this actually happens I am going to be beyond excited. There are a few theme parks out here such as shallal theme park and jungle land (honestly jungle land is so awesome and goodly themed). I think the animation was made by the saudi government who probably had no info about the coaster except the stats, but I hope this will come true😊

I like that Six Flags are planning an international overdrive of investment (I really hope we get a Six Flags in my hometown UK). But I personally feel that Six Flags should focus on parks like Six Flags America, La Ronde, Great Escape, Frontier City, Darien Lake, Six Flags St Louis, etc. The parks that need multi million developments that make it equal to the likes of Great Adventure and Magic Mountain

Looks like they will make it the tallest coaster by utilizing the canyon walls to increase height with less of the steel used on that main hill. Great concept for sure

Cedar point isn’t adding any coasters in 2020

Notice how it says 'Iron Rattler at 1:05 on the building to the right of the tilt coaster?

Colossus was a ride at six flags magic mountain that was very popular then was changed to twisted colossus

When you get drunk and play planet coaster / that ride

My guess would be some sort of park opens, but it won't be anything like that press release and trailer. Disneyland and Universal Florida both had significant problems when they opened, and it would be a miracle if a new group with no previous experience could pull off half of what they're trying to do. And Falcon's Flight makes me wonder if any actual coaster makers or anyone with a basic understanding of physics has even been consulted yet.

I hope it gets built and I would be very surprised if it does. I wonder why cedar fair hasn't tried to go over the pond? 🤔🤔🤔

Well now the possibility of this park or a park like this opening is even less and if it does open it's going to open a lot later than expected

looks good on paper, but won't wind speeds be a problem? looks like they're in a valley which would have turbulence

California Dreaming oh i’m still thinking there’s no way falcons flight will ever happen, but I think it’s entirely possible the park will get built. I just don’t think it’ll end up being what they’re initially advertising.

Also never imagined I'd hear the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia brought up in a CoasterStudios video. What times we live in.

I think if it does get built it's going to be S&S Sansei not Intamin. The track looks more like S&S and so does the train design plus Alan Schilke designing the layout would be plausible as he's said he'd be interested in making a huge creation like this.

If there's anything this "announcement" confirms is that Cedar Fair might have 19 new parks to add to the chain. (Assuming this actually gets built)

When was the last time Cedar Fair added a new park to their chain anyway?

I saw this earlier and the name INTAMIN just screamed out at me 😂 I can see them doing this and only them. But if it does get built, I sure hope it works first time and don’t have long downtime’s like the rest of their stuff. And I do see it not like this either, but this design I will say it is impressive. But unlikely to happen. We shall see.

This reminds me of Energylandia. Both are funded by their country's governments to build up massive, world-class attractions that would increase tourism in their countries. Looking at how Energylandia is going, this could probably work. Of course, there will be challenges, but I'm optimistic about it, and if Falcon's Flight gets built, I will do anything and everything to get there.

Meh. it seems too far-fetched for me. Also I would probably get executed there anyways.

Just look at Falcon's Flight. After that first drop, there would have to be quite a few trim brakes stopping the airtime hill reaching 100 miles an hour. And that second drop is just fantasy.

Just pointing out that the drop into the tunnel actually seems to be a launched drop as well
