    Hi I m suffering from water in knee problem. I m 26 year old. And it's almost 1 month and still swelling nd pain is there. I already went to meet doctor nd did x-ray. There is no problem in bone. So they given me 3 week medicine and come back. Please advise to me here nd why is taking lot of time in recovery. I can easily walk but in night time it's hurting when I m trying to move.

    My sincere advise to you.. do continuous follow up with doctor.. they will take 20ml of fluid and will send it to lab for testing, the results are very important.. if there is infection in the fluid, then they will treat with antibiotics.. if there is no problem in fluid, then they will remove that fluid completely with syrange and then inject steroid inside knee and will wait 3-6 months for results.. The fluid forming inside knee joint is called "synovitis".. for many people this will creat serious problems in the long run.. be careful and meet good doctors! Physiotherapy will help only 20%.. first that problem should be solved , that fluid must go.. then you can go for physiotherapy. Take care!

They already removed fluid once and doctor said it's yellow coloured and if we will test this then we will get normal report only so they given me medicine and wait for some time and asked to come again. Can I go for other doctor or can I wait. I m confused here.

When he removed the fluid, he must have sent it for lab test to understand the composition of fluid.. it can be infection, it can be TB, it can be Rheumatoid Arthritis or any other reason.. without testing the fluid, how can he say that there is nothing in the fluid just because it is yellow color? Idiots! By the way, have they injected any steroid in to the knee after removing the fluid? Or have they just removed the fluid and gave you some tablets? What tablets they gave you? Please answer above questions.

    @@jeevanarahasyam Hi Sir, Thank you for reply. They just removed fluid and given tablet aceclofenac and paracetamol tablet for 3 week / per day one tablet and do cold application. And ask to come again for check up and told then will do MRI. Is there need for MRI here or need to test fluid fast. In MRI we will get to know actual problem?
