The best part about part 6 is that the protagonist is completely meaningless except in the context of her dad, and the world so shallow that it can't hold up a story unless you know trivia from 100 years in the past. Basically it's entirely populated by side characters who don't mean shit as individual persons. It should be pretty relatable to people nowadays. No friends because you didn't meet that childhood before the spoilers, and only success is inheriting something.

2:12:55 Actually, starting Yakuza with 0 is a double-edged sword. On one hand, you start with the best game in the series, get invested in Nishiki and Kiryu's relationship, making 1's plot hit even harder. On the other hand, you start with the best game in the series, and you will get such a dip in quality from 0 to the other games that this can maybe throw you off a bit. And that's not to say 1-7 are bad games, they're *awesome,* is just that 0 is really in *another league,* this game is absolutely insane and a all around masterpiece of it's kind.

This is pretty spot on, the only mainline Yakuza exempt from the comparison is LaD IMO. It's so different on every level and, for me, it stands next to 0 as the best game in the franchise.

@@MarceloZ2 I think I might know the exact point your at, it's the only grind wall I hit as someone that rarely grinds so it sticks out a bit. I loved LaD and genuinely think I currently prefer Kasuga to Kiryu, although how he develops long term may change that. Also a mice little plus is that voice cast for both English and Japanese do an amazing job, which really helps with accessibility. I wish you luck with your grind wall, sewers are your friend for times like that.

Even so, 0 is the best to start. And it also is neato kson loves Isshin, but unfortunately it's jp exclusive (for now?), And it's one of the few in the Yakuza series not localized yet, so hopefully we get it soon, I hear it's almost as good as 0, with one of the best final bosses in the series

Actually, Mozart was never deaf, and Beethoven went deaf at about 45. Beethoven had already learned how to compose long before he went deaf. In fact, Beethoven would take the legs off the piano to hear vibrations of the piano. This is how Beethoven continued to compose even though he was deaf. Beethoven wrote his first symphony at 8 years old. Mozart wrote his first symphony when he was 9, however Mozart did learn how to play and read music at 5.

HxH, FMAB and DBZ are mid anyway. Only west people make a big deal out of it. They are definitely not gonna miss out anything big if they haven't seen it. Heck, I've seen it and wish I never did because it's a waste of time. Too much episodes, too much filler that it just keeps on dragging the show when you already have an idea what the show is about and just want to see it finish like bruh

I managed to see the whole episode, and oh boy! She roasted Connor and the UK so hard and so frequent and without any effort at all, it was beautiful!

I'm still confused as to how the set looks when interacting with a VTuber. Like...was it ever explained???

Take picture of empty set, sit down with guest to do the podcast, edit picture over guest and then overlay vtuber model over image. Because the cameras are stationary, they can pull this off. Same concept as the videos when you see 2 of the same person in 1 room.

PhD student in music theory here. Re: "composers composing when they're deaf," Mozart wasn't deaf at all. Yes, he wrote his first symphony when he was 8 (his first published work was at 5) and while it sounds fine, it's really not that interesting. Impressive that he could at all? Maybe, but his father was also a famous composer, so how much of it did Wolfgang actually write vs his father? Beethoven was deaf, but wasn't deaf from birth. He lost his hearing gradually over time, into his 40s. So he had at least three decades worth of hearing music and was familiar with the instruments he was writing for. He worked around it later in life with things like feeling the vibration of the piano when he was composing (not exactly a 1:1, but think of Hans Zimmer's BWAHHHH which you feel just as much as you hear).

You know, I was expecting Kson as the actual person (we know what she looks like since she sometimes streams as herself), but I don’t care. I’m just happy she’s on the podcast.
