Sit Stand and Move

Sit Stand and Move is an exercise class geared towards seniors and beginner exercisers. This class is 45 minutes of stretching and moving assisted with a chair. Ronnie Jordan, an exercise instructor at the YWCA of Asheville, teaches exercises that can be performed either standing or sitting. She is joined by Sarah Hart, Leonard Carrier, and Elizabeth Nichols. To participate in these moves you will need a standard chair with no arms, exercise bands, weights or cans of food, and a small ball. Please consult your physician before performing any of these exercises. The creators, producers, participants or distributors of this program do not assume liability for injury or loss in connection with this exercise program and instructions within.

    I have using been this program for several years (plus!) now 2 - 3 times a week. Love it! I have bee to a number of programs including Silver Sneakers outside of my home but find this one is the very BEST! Comprehensive without a lot of "show". Sure hope it doesn't disappear from the Internet/KZread! Thank you!!!!

    I thank u for your beautiful video for seniors. I am 70 years old and I now started daily exercise for 45 minutes by observing your video.Thanks a lot again.As stated by u in your one of comments that"We are currently in the process of producing a few new similar videos...."Kindly upload them so there will be verity of daily exercises for seniors.Beautiful part of the video is that instructor is also Senior Citizen.Kindly convey my regards to her.-Shrikant Tillu(India)

    Thank u for this even tho I am only 42 yrs old I have fibromyagia and this video has showed me that yes I can still exercise without killing myself and hurting doing zumba

    hello,,, this inspired me alot.. i salute the trainers. i feel like a have more to learn and this really give me a spirit to try a new low impact workout for seniors... all seniors out there please make this 3 adorable ladies and 1 lovely gentlemen as an example for you to start a healthy life and please do healthy eatings too. there is no reason cause you are too old. If you feel that your body still can exercise why not give it a try.. good luck. lots of love for there amazing trainers. they remind me of my passed away grandmom

    Thank you so much! My mom from Philippines enjoy this video a lot and religiously use it every morning specially when she cant walk outside during monsoon season. Very good trainer!

    THat's great ! Well done Granma...I wish though the exercises started off with less time as my dad gets bored and impatient easily. To keep him passionate about the exercises it has to finish much earlier even if it's more energetic! :) but you yourself are doing great great great TOUCH WOOD :)

    If you don't have stretch bands try a pair of tights, or some stretchy material.

    Can anyone tell me the length of the band. I bought one that was 5 feet long and rated 20 lbs. I don't think they use anything that strong.

    Very nice and thanks for beautiful exercise video for seniors.I have no where seen such a video with moderate exercises for seniors.     really enjoyed this video and worked with it as much as i could i am 62 years old and very inflexible in my body due to some conditions i have i had a hip replacement 5 months ago and it has motivated me to do something about my body and i think this will be the video to do it with i would like to buy the bannds and the ball can you advise best to get please.
