This 👆🏻 I’ve done it a couple times the other way around and you will be YEARNING to take a nap but keep yourself busy until bedtime and you should be fine!

Glad to hear from Shayden! I had cubital tunnel also, but before I had surgery which I procrastinated about - it went away!!! Never came back. Didn't pierce my ears until I was in college - that was waaaaaaaaay back early 70's lol, no parental knowledge at that time, did it in my dorm room with ice cubes and a needle - all was ok. 😁

Excited for you Shayden for your trip to Norway! What a great experience!!

My daughters are now 21 & 19. The oldest got her ears pierced at 5 & started wearing makeup at 13. The younger got her ears pierced at 13 & still doesn't really wear make up except for special events. Our rule was 5 for ears and 13 for make up but left it up to them after that.

I was a baby when I had my ears pierced, I let my girls decide, they asked for 6 months and I let them get them pierced at 4 almost 5. They always took the best care of them! It was eye opening how well they wanted to take care of them and still do at 6 almost 7

Shayden has such a pleasant, calm voice which will be wonderful for a social work career should that remain your focus. And Tatum’s focus on counseling and marriage fits nicely.

This was a really fun video. It’s fun seeing Shaden and hearing his plans :-) my daughter was five and we went to Claire’s and it was great. They did both ears at the same time not even a tear and I was 16 when I got my ears pierced:) it’s tough when the tooth fairy comes because you think it’s great for the first five teeth to have a dollar a tooth and then after that a quarter or $.50, unfortunately it’s when they hear what the other kids get from the tooth fairy… When I was teaching at school, some kids were getting $20 a tooth which I thought was insane!!! Tfs and God bless:)

So, fun to hear you gonna go to Norway Shayden! From The Netherlands too (mostly watch the lives back) but when I went to the USA i was fine, on my way back to Europe I had a jetlag for the first time in my life. Mostly overly tired, heared other stories. But like most have said roll with the time of the country of destination. Crazy indeed forgot that when in a growspurt how much sleep you need. I was 4 with my first time getting my ears pierced, 28 with my 2nd en 3rd just a couple months ago.

We had problems after getting my daughter’s ears done with the gun…she was 3 at the time but made it clear for a year she wanted them done. I got my daughters done again when she was 10 but we went to a piercing and tattoo parlor…not one single issue with her ears after that. As for shaving…I’d base it on the amount of hair and how self conscious they are. My girl didn’t need to shave her legs till she was 13…I started shaving at 8…no my mom didn’t know I just did it and I never even knocked my leg till I was pregnant with my daughter 🤣🤣.

It never hurts for children to want something for a while. I’m a piano teacher. Parents often run out and sign their children up for lessons before they are really ready. Oh and they don’t always listen to the teacher about waiting. I was 35 when I got my ears pierced.

My mother was also a piano teacher. Her requirement was that new students had to be in 2nd grade & able to read & comprehend. BTW...I was around 35 when I got my ears pierced.

Hi Jamie! I'm Italian and I've been following you and your family since the very beginning! Regarding piercing the girls' ears I guess it's a good idea to wait for as long as you can, your girls are so beautiful and perfect in their being young, earrings are too much of an adult thing - my mum made me wait up to when I was 17 as for makeup and in hindsight now that I'm 34 I have to thank her (even if it really wasn't my opinion when I was younger and really wanted earrings). Don’t wait too long before you have cubical tunnel surgery, you could have permanent nerve damage from delaying the surgery.

I just needed to say that maybe the boys might want their ears pierced too. 😊

Social work is a very difficult job. They are overworked and underpaid and it can be a very stressful job. Psychology/counseling may be a better option, although you’ll need your Masters degree. My daughter in law is a school counselor and loves it! You could also coach soccer if you work in the schools.

I personally would not pierce my child’s ears until they are old enough to ask. I certainly wouldn’t do it to a baby.

The kids come in your room shaydon because they’re not disaplined. No boundaries equals big problems when they get older

Shaden is Nice, and A little SHY as well. I may be Old=Fashioned, But all Boys/Men Look Much better/younger with A Clean Shaven Faces>>>Maybe A little Mustache...But NO Hairy Yukky Beards.
