Big mistake signing with Syco Music. There has been quite few artist that got burned by them.

Just wanted to add some background about Courtney and this performance. In an interview with Howie Mandel of Sirius Xm radio, he tells the story of what happen at the audition with Courtney. He said she was so nervous backstage that she got sick and the producers had to push her time slot back. Courtney is really shy, she's not acting. There's another video where it shows that she is shy.

She wasn't a newbie and had quite an experience. She auditioned for The Voice a couple of years back and has been singing in more than a few venues. Your sister was right. I'm a singer as well and thought exactly the same thing.

She has a lot of singing experience. She was on British voice and did quite well, but this way of singing is new to her.

She is truly shy, like Michael Jackson, but changes when she gets on stage.

She has auditioned on The Voice UK and I believe she came in second. No she is naturally shy but when she sings she gets lost in the music.

I concur, and this is the best link to that audition. It has the before and especially the after comments with the judges that should not be missed. It's where the judges who didn't no if they should turn ask her to please perform part of it again so they can see why she was so winded. And then the 1st comments about Janis Joplin came out and where she learned all she learned from an era she wasn't born in. Courtney has come a long way in the two years since this audition. She is now known worldwide and, at last count, has over two billion on line views. She was signed to a major record deal with Syco/Arista records and her first album of original music is scheduled to drop soon, but timing is uncertain due to the world health situation. Courtney is a generational talent and is the best thing to happen to music in decades. She is well on her way to one day being a musical legend. I’ve already explained in another response why your opinion on the sincerity of Courtney’s personality is compete rubbish and has no basis in fact or reality. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I, like most every one else, first discovered Courtney when she appeared on AGT in 2018 because, as I’ve said repeatedly, everything she did before that were small, little known competitions. For those of us who thought she had one of the greatest voices we’ve ever heard, and there were millions of us, we went back and searched for any other music she had on line. It just so happens that the earliest music videos she had published were when she was around nine. Courtney’s AGT audition now has over 500M views and she has over 2 billion on line views, so there are an awful lot of people who agree on her talent. So, continue to spin your conspiracy theories, if that what makes you happy. I couldn’t really care less.

She really is that shy. There was a clip on youtube of her with her grandfather. He said that she was painfully shy.

You really want to see Courtney as a kid see her in The Voice Kids from the UK.

Also see my comment. I have been watching Courtney since she has been nine and her demeanor has never changed. Soft spoken and delightfully genuine when not singing and a beast when the music starts. The other talent show, Voice Kids UK, had a studio audience of 300, was in it’s first season and only the finals were live. If you’re going to make a comparison, please choose comparable things.

I went into more detail on the vanished video, but I would just say here that Courtney being shy/nervous/humble when she talks is not an act. I and many fans may be a bit sensitive to "act" because she was brutally bullied online during AGT by a small, persistent group using that word and much worse fabrications.

to be honest, i believe people accused her of acting because at this point in her life she already had many years of public singing and she had been on The Voice even before she came to AGT, so some felt she must be acting.

having stage fear (sudden or not) or becoming very nervous in a competition, is not about being shy... Context are different. Not acting as a rocking performer off stage doesn't nesserarily make anyone shy, probably just normal. I guess some assume some stars off stage are 'shy' in real life as the difference from their act on stage is so big. It is kind of flawed conclusion is it not to take on stage persona as something to compare with. We don't really know these people do we. Performance act on stage and this performance may have a personal style, but it is still performancance and on stage. Good for her she overcame that attack of being nervous, took same deep focusing it seems. I don't think she and others lied about her being nervous (a bit sick also?) at that moment. Having been in other competitions earlier doesn't change much, not in just a few years at least. And funny thing is, well experienced, famous people wanting to have a private life off stage are probably still called "shy" (or worse) by some...

@@sedfierisentio So true, and very obvious statement that you would think all would get that. You just don't get that far if you haven't worked hard and long hours daily at your craft with lots of experience. But at the same time i do realize many of these contestants have had professional careers already. Courtney still doesn't really have professional experience per say, even though she has a signed contract and has received money from that contract. She still hasn't played at a venue while signed. And that, IMO once your receiving money to play out professionally, is when the critics come out to pester them. I guess the critics get paid to critique too. lol.

I am not understanding how this video played a day or so ago, and I and others made several comments. But now it shows as only being played today without the previous comments, which were rather lengthy?

It disappeared for a while for an unknown reason. Maybe they didn't like a comment that was posted? Maybe they wanted to better-edit the video? Who knows? They should've thought of all of the comments they would wipe out. Then it reappeared all-of-a-sudden. Glad I didn't leave any comments till this one

The same thing happened to me Rick. I had also left a lengthy comment and was just as confused, but then I seem to remember that the recent reaction wasn't under the 'Crixus Kaiden' Channel but under a channel with a different name (maybe her sister), although it was the same video.
