This is a 50 year old Sissel at the famous Temple Square with the Mormon Tabernacle choir & orchestra, on her 3rd visit ( July,2019) Not many get that many invitations to sing there. She is a great favorite in Utah. Sissel is a strong person of faith and highly principled. She is Lutheran. She turned down an 18 million dollar offer to transfer her career stateside, just after her Titanic score work. She puts family, friends and home above even her love of singing. Inspite of the music industry's best efforts, she has stayed largely in control of what she has done in her entertainment career of almost 40 years. Faith songs figure in all her concerts but she sings across all genres. She is not classically trained even though she has a fine lyric soprano.

This is the Conference Center at Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah. The venue holds 22,000 people. I was in attendance at this performance and the standing ovation was amazing. I think We all felt as though we had been visited by an angel, and transported into heavenly realm. It was the most beautiful musical moment of my life.

I was there too! You could have heard a pin drop in that building while she was singing this song. And the standing ovation went on and on and on- and rightfully so! That performance will live in my memories forever and brings me so much peace and joy whenever I think about it. Sissel is one of my favorites and Salt Lake City loves her! She made a stop in SLC during her “Northern Lights” tour and that concert at Abravanel Hall was fantastic!

20,000 people! You never heard a sound. Even children knew their lives had changed and did not utter a sound. The spirit was so palpable, the reverence has rarely been witnessed. This building is the conference center in salt lake city. It is the home of America's choir. The director is Mac Wilburg. They do concerts every Sunday, so if your travelling thru, stop by and enjoy.

Loved your reaction to Sissel. She did multiple incredible performances during this concert. The clairity and control of her voice. She is very famous for her Christmas concerts. Her Holy Night- Helga Natt is wonderful. Many, many more. Please do your homework on her. She is gifted and has performed since her youth. Watch the whole video. She received a standing ovation mid concert which brought her to tears. She FEELS!
