the older 1992-2002 cars like the E36 3/Z3 series, E38 7 series, and the E39 5 series, possibly the early X5 vehicles as well came with cassette decks with the option for CD changers in the truck. Some had Cassette Navigation units with the CD changers. In 2002/2003 BMW stopped using cassettes although some base model cars in Europe and few 325i/325xi in the USA may have come with cassette players out the factory as late as 2004.

Lads, it's a parrot Bluetooth ck 3000 evo. Very easy to hook up. Got mine from eBay used at 10usd then bought connects2u mbus connector for 60 bloody pounds.

You have to buy a Alpine BMW Business CD53 Radio(2004-2007 Production Date) and if you want MP3 Data CD Playback then you will want to get one these three parts number 65.12-6 943 429 or 65.12-6 943 430 or 65.12-6 961 215

ive never been able to pair my phone to my e46 its one with the cassette deck an muti changer in the boot, ive watched every video on youtube tried 1234 1111 and the code on the operators manual even took it to halfords an they were stumped. il not take it to a bmw center as i could buy a new stereo an parrot system for less than they would charge, think il solve the problem by getting an audi next time :-)

The Bluetooth pairing code is usually 0000 or 1234. One of those should work.

How do you connect your phone.

It is done at the phone if I recall correctly. The phone pick ups the car and when you connect the passcode is usually 1234 or 0000.
