Siril Won't Stack? Try This!
I've been having stacking issues in Siril every once in a while. In this video, I go over changing some star detection threshold settings that finally let me stack my images. after they were failing to stack. These may have been failing to stack because of tilt issues causing elongated stars. #siril #postprocessing #astrophotography

Awesome! I really love Siril, and I was bummed anytime my images would fail to stack.
Hey this helped me with the CCD Camera issue during a meridian flip I was wondering why my stars were iffy and not that great due to sensor issues most likely but this helped out a lot with PSF corrections thanks!

I have some tilt issues that I need to learn how to fix. I’m guessing that is what was causing the error on mine, but I’m not sure. Glad it helped!

@@AstroDanno Im stacking my first image. I’m new to this hobby. I’m jumping up and down I can’t believe I got the Orion Nebula with my camera and a 130mm reflector !!!

How do you fix the tilt? Did you look at other frames and see the same shape? Thanks.

I haven’t attempted to fix it yet. I think the housing on the camera can be adjusted to fix the tilt. They also make tilt brackets and adapters. I think NINA has a tilt tool in it.
