Ian McKellan tells the story of two fans asking him if he was Michael Gambon, even after he told them the actor had died.

Call it fate but I learnt of Waiting for Godot in a preparatory English exam a couple of days ago. I thought that was what it was and the reply confirmed it!

I had to look up who that was. So my suspicion is that the girls were Harry Pooter fans and they didn't realize Ian took over Michael's role as Dumbledor when he died.

how did you look it up and not realize that Ian McKellen was never in Harry Potter. Michael Gambon took over Richard Harris' role when he died, Gambon didn't die until last year
