Sir David Attenborough Presents: Breaking Boundaries: The Science of Our Planet | Doc Preview

Ойын-сауық

Breaking Boundaries tells the story of the most important scientific discovery of our time - that humanity has pushed Earth beyond the boundaries that have kept Earth stable for 10,000 years, since the dawn of civilization. The 75-minute film takes the audience on a journey of discovery of planetary thresholds we must not exceed, not just for the stability of our planet, but for the future of humanity. It offers up the solutions we can and must put in place now if we are to protect Earth’s life support systems.

It may be that all life hangs in the balance with each other, so lose too many links & the whole thing collapses. I don't know, but I don't want to find out either, as that's not costructive. What is constructive, worthwhile is fully reforesting, ending petroleum use, even pumping it back where it belongs, as all the current volcanoes can tell us that oil is the fuel for Her molten core. Then growing microalgae in open-skied deserts awaiting reforestation, as microalgae is the fastest growing plant type known, so makes oxygen & consumes carbon quicker than anything known and both are needed. carbon that is trapped in the ground at one time, was in the atmphere about 3 billion years ago. This was before the period of plant life or any life that could photosynthesize co2 into oxygen. at that time the atmphere temperature was 300-400F. As O2 was being interjected by Cyanobacteria, and new plant life was born, it would suck up co2 and eventually the global atmphere stabilized to 59F and that led to a habitable life. Mankind if now burning hydro carbons and its reversing the carbon life cycle.

But you and Mr. Sagan are absolutely right: this kind of Life we have on Earth is special in many ways! So many things had to (and still has to) align to make it the way it is today, which enables Life to thrive and eventually us humans to exist and live. It is absolutely fascinating! Like all the protective shields the Solar system provides and the Earths own magnetic field that exists due to the melted core and so much more...but I digressed. Anyways our lifeform is only supported on the Earth and can't live without it - I think this is something many people forget.

No matter how much I try to not impact the planet, if I have kids, even only one, it won't matter, because even if my kid also grows up to care about the planet, they'd still end up creating a lot of waste and using a lot of resources, and if they also have children of their own, well, you can see where this is going.

After this I'm back to my search for tutorials I watch to help me learn how to run machines I've made from what I took out of the landfill the past 15 years. This is solar powered and most of my solar panels I took out of the landfill and fixed them. Same with my computers. The electronics I'm recycling isn't because the parts are expensive to me. It's about the price the earth has had to pay for them. To priceless, to then, throw away, so I can buy new. KZread is helping me learn how to do this. And that said, I gotta get back to it. Peace.

The planet was worse off during the industrial age, burning coal, massive amounts of wood, the two world wars, dump sites all over the oceans for mustard gas and munitions, oil spills etc, contrails from air traffic alone contribute literally thousands of tons of pollutants daily. Most countries are slowly cleaning up now, there is still hope and time to rectify the problem, sadly greed and ineffective polices are a hindrance.

Sir David Attenborough has no time to lose. At his stage of life he has a limited period of time to prepare for the possibility of meeting his Creator, the creator of his spirit. For many the event is only a possibility and they react by avoiding or denying it. But the prospect is so significant that it is a possibility that demands very serious consideration and both the courage and humility to face it. History determines that only Christ has claimed to be God and provided evidence to back that up. He says "I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No man comes to the Father but by me". There is no point in being a famous successful person if one ignores his spiritual nature and future.

Did he say "I am God", in English?, no. but he said he is the "I AM" which the religious leaders knew exactly what he meant and demanded him to be crucified because he "being a man claimed to be God" If this was not true Jesus would have been very quick to kill any misunderstanding for truth's sake and also to save his life. It cost him his earthly life by a very cruel and humiliating death to make this statement about his divinity. He was either God, having backed up his outlandish claim by his actions and rising from the dead; or he was a deluded madman who faked a resurrection, which no credible historian suggests.

Mister Sir . David Attenborough *please send me a thumbs up if you receive this mesage* I have been researching acidification in the ocean * I research what could lower the acidification in the ocean* I think I have a hypothesis I hope you are willing to hear it* calcium carbonate is a Cure yet it is making shells of the shell fish to soft and breakable The reason being is that acidification mixed with calcium carbonate is creating bicarbonate making shellfish shells to soft & breakable * The other cure for ocean acidification is Lime there is three types of lime * hydrated lime or slaked lime or quick lime the problem with quick lime is that it is damaging & caustic * the problem with slaked lime & hydrated lime which really isn't a problem because it will work to reduce the oceans acidification the problem is that it will take time to work * so how to go about placing the lime into the ocean without putting to much or to little * would powder form be best or rock form or slate form be possible in ocean acidification areas ? Or where coral reefs are being planted to plant a big hydrated lime rock or powder form or where the corals are being planted to plant a hydrated or slaked lime there where the ocean reef acidification is ? Or just a hydrated lime rock or just powder for of hydrated lime or slaked lime Would that help lower the ocean acidification ?
