as a beginning,it is time to stop giving child tax credits on income taxes and begin giving credits to people who never had a child. Society in general should not be subsidizing people to have children.

The only logical solution to the overpopulation problem would be the Chinese system of the family planning of the past decade's (one child per family) and that strictely implemented worldwide

The comments here say it all ....there simply will never be a solution provided by humanity...the privilege of opinion far outweighs the reality .... I have spent my life 58 years associated with the sea 🌊 ....and the destruction I have witnessed is irrefutable...so everyone can have their sacred opinions and I'll keep mine .....a silent spring draws nigh

The eloquence, the sharpness of thought and the commitment with which Sir David Attenborough keeps working towards informing, I dare to say even educating his fellow humans is astonishing, admirable, enviable and should be emulated with every opportunity.

The root cause of most of humanities problems is a growing population chasing finite resources, solve that and a huge number of other issues will be resolvable. To not solve this is to ensure all our other problems remain insoluable. Bless sir David for articulating this so well and damn neo-classical economics for denying this problem even exists.

Let's hope that it will not be too late when we finally start to care more about our environment and our ever growing population rather than caring only about money and power!

I've loved this bloke all of my life, I'm not ashamed to admit it. Truth is necessary and it is real. We're just another organism preoccupied with our own self importance.

Birth rates are dropping like a stone in most developed countries - Germany and Japan in particular. The exploding populations are mostly in developing countries.

I stopped worrying about climate change when I realized that population was the real elephant in the room. Until human population decreases there is little chance that ecological disaster can be avoided.

Sir David, you must be listened to, now more than ever. Tears stream from my eyes in the knowledge that you speak the truth. Hopefully you will succeed where so many others have failed.

Goodness, this man is so eloquent. He takes a topic which is regarded by many as completely taboo, yet completely pertinent, and tackles it head on. He speaks sense. It's a statement without judgement and with great insight. I wish the world could catch up to his thinking.
