Siouxsie - Hong Kong Garden 4 may 2023 Amsterdam Paradiso
Музыка
Last song of the show, amazing show by Siouxsie.
After the 1st song Siouxsie said she got infected by AC and she would be drinking a lot of fluids because of her throat. Considering the AC infection she did an amazing job and she got the crowd (it was sold out within an hour) so pumped up that they were screaming for two encores.
Siouxsie didnt use any auto tune, back up singers, pre-recorded back up tapes, echo, reverb etc, which a lot of acts (young and old) nowadays are using. Just her raw and punky vocals. So for a 2nd show after 10+ years not performing she did a great job. In the venue itself it all sounded impressive including an entertaining show.

Thank goodness for the people who put these videos here for folk like me who are unable to go to concerts anymore to see their favourite artists. Thanks again Marc.

I’d go see her in a second. She’s a legend.
The queen. God bless you Siouxsie ❤🙏🏻
Comparing 1978 Siouxsie and 2023 Siouxsie is pointless. She's 65 years old and is doing a good job for her age. I'd like to see any of the trolls perform anything for a large audience and not get booed off stage at the same age.

Although she is my favourite singer of all times and always has been - I think it is sad. At 63, she really should be in a place (both mentally and financially) where she no longer needs to perform concerts like this and put herself through this (which you can tell is really tough for her - she almost looks in pain). You just cannot shake off the impression she is doing this out of some terrible necessity, and that makes me sad. I am always happy to see her - but this is a pure nostalgia trip, noone can seriously claim these are good concerts or quality performances.

@@cultmamacultmama3571 I am not sure why she decided to tour again. She could have just been bored sitting at home: if you've been a performer most of your life, it may be incredibly dull not having that adrenaline rush of facing an audience. Likewise, I hope it's not out of financial necessity. As for myself, I think aging is tough, especially when you were kind of rough on yourself during youth, so I admire someone for fighting off their limitations and making a valiant effort. Honesty, I don't think she's terrible here, and I am willing to make allowances. I just don't expect the same thing from a senior citizen as I would have from a 20-year-old.

What a privilege it must be to get to support her live in the crowd for all her years of great music.

I hope this welcoming fills her heart & soul, she deserves every yell, scream clap & sing aling❤
she is still so stunning absolutely love Siouxsie.
I think siouxsie is on top of game here. I think her voice is as good as always. I think she uses the stage really well. I love her dancing! Very siousie! She seems warmer towards the audience! I love that and I love her and the banshees ❤

Voice is still good but can’t say it’s as good as it was in her hey day, and that’s totally ok.
I love this video! The audience is really into it. If I were there, I would be dancing and singing along as well❤
I’m blessed to see here in Amsterdam. The Queen of my life👸🏻
Saw Siouxsie and the Banshees live in Miami Florida circa 1992. Superstition tour. So good. Excellent band. Siouxsie is a true icon and the Banshees are genius musicians.
Along with kate bush,an absolute heroine of mine
I had a great evening & enjoyed every minute of the gig!! ❤
Thank you so much for this. One of my favourite songs of all time. I bought it on first release when I was 11 years old in 1978, just before I started secondary school here in UK (and had the cane many times there). And now suddenly here we are in 2023. I'm 56. And Siouxsie is back. So happy to see her back on stage, and very much looking forward to seeing her later this year. I first saw her live in 1984 here in my home city of Leicester. What a legend she is and always will be.

I was a steward at the Reading Rock Festival in 1978 (the first punk one) when John Peel gave it the first ever airing. Siouxsie had been without a record label for some time so we all heard it then.

This show looks like it was amazing. what a great theater!! seeing Siouxsie moved to the brinkof tears by the audience was so special.
Siouxsie is and always will be amazing!
I covered this song with my band at our school disco. In the 1970s. It was in the charts at the time.
BETWEEN THE BLUE (PAM HOGG) OUTFIT AND THIS ONE, I am in HEAVEN!!!! Siouxsie is looking just WOW and I love the Blonde foils! She is fucking extraordinary! * Her dancing is exactly the same, WOW!!!!!
To be honest she would not give a f..k what the keyboard warriors think, give a younger generation a chance to see her gigs we all were not down the Kings Road in 76
Saw the Banshees live a lot between 78 and 81 and they were a class act. I can't compare this to back then and it would be stupid to do so. It's a different world now. I was thinking of seeing her on this tour for old time sake but after seeing this I will give it a miss and be grateful for seeing her in her heyday. This is OK for those who never saw her back in the day or who want to go on a trip down memory lane but it's not for me. Good luck to her though as it can't be easy trying to recreate the past after being a way for so long !!!!
I saw her in 1981 , and I would give anything to see her now .
One of the best bands ever Very important in my youth
Seen siouxsie and the banshees on the JUJU tour in Cardiff, got her autograph and got to speak to her after the gig, I was buzzing for weeks after, fantastic gig, fantastic band, siouxsie is timeless, no female artist today could even come close, legend.
Too amazing. Cannot wait to see her in LA in two weeks! LOVE Siouxsie.
