Was this actually live?
@ScottishTeeVee

@@robertdegraw3551 The vocals are live, but I'm not 100% sure about the band. At this time, there were often TV shows which had bands in the studio, the band would mime, the singer would be live, I don't know why this was done.

Well, seeing as she was influenced by Louise Brooks it's appropriate.

Don’t be silly, she had that hairstyle in the 70’s. I saw her live in 1986 she was brilliant and original. Madonna, Bjork, since. Florence and the Machine just copied Siouxie’s sound . Without the sex appeal.😂

She will never stop being awesome.
The most representative and beautiful artists of the 1980’s.
Siouxsie, the queen and the Banshees, the kings... They simply rock...
I love Siouxsie. She is a goddess.
She really owened the 80s. Icon. ❤❤
Very difficult song selected to play live. Very talented live performance.

I did see something strange, at 1:55 the guitar player's not playing the notes we're hearing; but this performance does in fact seem real and live so it could just be an editing flurb, or It could also be a pull-off and he's playing it one handed. Thanx to @ScottishTeeVee too this seems cleaned up and the audio is really good!

@@DHTC888 jajajaj it's true. But it's a video editing miss continuity matter. It's totally live and it's a quite difficult song to play. It's imperfect but amazing!
She’s a proper beauty
Siouxie ❤ se ve realmente bella.
2023, reading the book, “A light that never goes out-The enduring saga of The Smiths,” by Tony Fletcher, I found out about British Eighties bands, including his one: I am glued to You Tube.
Siouxsie looks so damn pretty here
Pretty incredible sound for a live video from the 80s. Her voice is on point. And that guitar tone is epic, archetypal 1980s.

@@ianwilson5647 09:17 is the very last second of the video, which shows a little kid in front of a wall of video or cassette tapes, so I’m not sure what you’re referring to. I’ve watched this video many times now, there is no indication as far as the syncing of sound and video that indicates that this is not an actual live recording. It’s excellent. Enjoy it.

I can see what you’re seeing. Assuredly still an actual live performance. They’re using numerous camera angles, which means there are going to be imperfections in the syncing/editing. And it’s absolutely not the album version, which is significantly different.
@jocejoce7638

@@ianwilson5647 It's not the studio version. Apparently they recorded two times for angles and you see some footage of the other recording.
Proof that the Banshees could produce new, inventive, and different to the norm music right to the end of their existence. The Killing Jar definitely one of their best ever songs.
What a clever piece of music. Encapsulating elements of classical music with rock
This performance of Burn Up is the real treat imo

This channel is a goldmine for many artists but as someone who recently got into the Banshees a few months back I have been kept busy with the amount of Banshees content pumped out on the channel. You are doing the Lord’s work.

Her music ages like fine wine……very capturing
Burn Up played at full volume immediately after Bound for Hell by Love and Rockets is an experience I suggest to everyone who loves Siouxsie and these bands.

Well observed, actually the director did two takes, so the band played live each track twice in a row, which is why there are so many different angles with the camera. and then the director did a cut as it was not broadcast live on the air on television on the same day
