It’s great to see The Silver Spline again! It’s a bit of a waste having all the detail inside the ship 🚢 but can’t get into it afterwards unless pulling it apart. If it was modular it would’ve been great! LOZ has done it a few times building a room but then you build around it to not see it again. On the outside along with all the floating bits and pieces in the water it looks very nice to display. I noticed a few brands like Zhegao have released titanic sets too so there’re options out there. I am currently building a clone Ghostbusters vehicle right now. It’s a little different to the big L. I don’t know who released it if it’s King or not but I’m enjoying building it. It’s less than a third of the price of the real one so why not! It’s interesting it also came with 4 mini figures and display stand, I believe the real one does not have any.

It wouldn’t have been to difficult imo to add an extra layer to pull it off. I got the ghostbuster ride too but OG version lol. Haven’t built it yet. Man so many sets these days.

Exactly, at least don’t touch the bottom part.

The box has great usage of both matte and spot gloss varnish. 👍 I’m a package design nerd…I used to do it for LEGO early on in my career. Great review Scottie. It’s a dope concept of the ship sinking.

A lot of these brands look pretty good imo but the material of the boxes aren’t always good. Lol. Maybe one day I’ll have to ask you to help design my box set lol. Thanks for watching!!

Now I just run my own streetwear brand but I’m constantly still designing for it in adobe illustrator / photoshop. We are connected on instagram so just hit me up anytime. I’m very passionate about package design & would love to help. I enjoy those types of projects. I have a vampire blood bank modular I want to show you once I’m finished. I remember seeing your stuff before and on Instagram (I tend to lurk more heh) but keep me posted for sure. First I have to find the funding to make a set which sadly isn't cheap, then I'll hit you up. One day in the near future! Thanks for always watching too!

@@brickmeupscottie yeah I know how costly it can be. As the creative director working on projects I was involved in all the budgets as well. Package design / production get up there. Photo shoots alone of the products got very expensive but you can just do 3D renders in a digital platform and I can polish them up in photoshop. I have a vast amount of experience with that stuff so I can definitely steer you in the right direction. I let that vampire blood bank sit for months 😆 but I’m motivated to finish it now with Halloween around the corner. It’s grown in size. I’ll def send you pictures.

I didn’t realize they had rescue canoes on the Titanic.

Oh yeah, finally a set who brings us the best part of the movie. 😁 Nice set, maybe i think about it. Thx for showing us and greetings to youre guest. Nice to see him without an armyset. Edit: i thought about and.... ....NO WAY!😝 🤣

I really like how they added detail in the interior of the ship like the beds, flipped over chairs and tables and others, really cool Just a random thought but what if you put lights inside the ship, would it look good?

I’m sure if you put in a brick light with wires yea it’ll look really good. The cada ones flicker… you can create the same effect as the film lol.

Building this would be the opportunity to use up all the leftover pieces from the other sets. Just from watching I noticed many unnecessary gaps. But the interior is very nice, even if you don't see much of it after the assembly. I don't have a problem with Titanic models - I built the large one from Cobi -, but the scene with the figures seems irreverent. If I would ever build it, I would leave the figures out.

To be fair the gaps weren’t all bad at first. Shifting and moving into the office I noticed it more but I couldn’t be bothered to push it back cause I know it would collapse lol. As for the figures yea seems like a split decision however in Asia they love the film so much so I guess it’s more of a homage that they’ll remember this scene as it’s displayed. I’ve seen some post it in a glass container lol.
