He came across as very nice and well mannered and at least he wasn't trying to hurt peoples feelings. On the otherhand, Vanessa, the girl in this video, comes across as a stuck up brat. She literally went off on a dude just because he asked her a question she couldn't understand. Also, Vanessa keeps her hand hovered over the button the entire time for just about every person she met, which gives the impression she wasn't even giving these people a chance. Lastly, Vanessa literally indicated that she isn't into men if they don't have a six pack. Wondering about similar things. Maybe it's an age or generational thing too (I was born 1979). Dating apps and instagram have screwed with standards and turned dating more and more into a shopping experience. The last few people I grew attracted to or had a crush on I honestly wouldn't have picked out of a photo catalog or went for on a first impression. Looks may help getting together but vibes and character is what keeps you together.

So primarily you dated those within your vicinity or those you spent the most time with that way attraction develops over time. Now with technology now has widened said proximity via dating apps and social media that you can literally match with anyone from anywhere and or within a certain radius. Which means more people to swipe on creating said shopping experience for both parties. basically going after the next shinny "person"

What I can say from my experience is that even shaking a woman's hand to greet them I have to be aware of my grip because I know not to expect a firm handshake in return just by the way the hand is presented, but with men I almost immediately know to meet with a firm hand shake lol. So maybe that's what happened with him when he held her hands. I agree in a sense that his body posture/ language may have caused him to seem demure. I also could be over analyzing

The dude doesn't even have to be fit to have a 6 pack as long as he has the right body composition. He could be a twink with a 6 pack. For guys who are working out, they could be on a dirty bulk/cutting cycle, so their abs have varying levels of 6 pack definition which to some would not count as a 6 pack (again depending on angle and lighting). Assuming she's not excluding twinks, a much more clear, concise, but meaner question would be "Are you fat?"

here people aren't guaranteed to see each other again, in real life, it could be a coworker, peer, someone you cross on the regular, and depending on the person, they may not want the tension of being straight up with you. The potential odds of that person having no coping skills and projecting onto you, having to see them get depressed and feel guilt each time, and etc. Like yeah imma be kind til i can find a good way out if those odds are high. If they are low, I'll try to be honest. But some people can't take honesty. Some people will put all their happiness in life on you and make it nearly impossible without making them go off the deep end. So that's how I see it. Some people are just kind out of fear. Which inherently could mean they are kind enough to care how someone may react or if they may harm themselves while others may not care at all. idk. but yeah, it's easier to be honest with low stakes and connections.

Yeah but you can see in the other comments that people say otherwise just because he's a dude. The first chick was cool, then the next two were annoying and forced his hand, then he messed up with the last ones by starting off bad. This is why women should learn more about rejection, because instantly acting like he's a villain over hurt pride is only people failing to protect their busted ego.

It's also a pretty accurate reflection of dating. The reason the buzz on someone who has rejected a bunch before them is because they don't want to be next, its like reject them before the reject you. Short-term dating is becoming more common because people are afraid of getting hurt and not putting themselves out there is not allowing anyone the chance to let them down

It can be justified in some situations though. Sometimes there's people on the show who hog the button and just constantly reject everyone. Like before the other person even sits down or says anything they already have their hand hovering over the button. Those are the types of people who need to be kicked off ASAP.

@@The.Painted.Angel. That is an unbelievably dumb assessment. First of all, how would you know you're dating someone who rejects a lot of people? And how does that have any bearing of what kind of person he is (no shit that the person rejected plenty of other people before, he's DATING and looking for a partner, that's the entire point.) Second of all, they only do it because it's a poorly done show where the other participants talk to each other in between the blindfold-speed-date and it turns into a “I'll press the button before he/she does it to me!”. And none of this is even a representation of what “short-term” dating is, because most participants can't even blurt out 4 sentences before someone presses a button, they can't even see the other person yet, so it's not even close to what dating is considering you start to know the other person, their demeanor, their appearance, their likes and dislikes, their opinion, something you can take away after a single date, but not after 5 minutes. The format is poorly done, it's not a dating show at all, it's a “I'll press the button first to keep playing then I'll give out a flimsy excuse as to why”. People have plenty of incentive to keep pressing the button because there is no drawback to it and they keep playing while they eliminate the undesirable. That's why 95% of the people on the show press the button the moment they know it's activated.

I think the reason people kept rejecting others is either they find it very enjoyable now that they are experiencing some power or most importantly its because this is the only place they can do that since no one is asking them out in real life.

I really like the idea that if you press the button you leave, makes it so you don’t get these people who just push it to see their options

Samantha having her hand hover the button for so long, but then voluntarily and courteously swapping herself out when with Aaron is probably the most wholesome thing I've seen on this cursed show till now.
