To find out more about the Single Plane Swing, I have created a "Single Plane Pocket coach" that you can take to the range, or course, and learn the fundamentals of the swing. Find out more about the Pocket Coach here: gravesgolf.com/yt/get-guide

I'm 60 years old and have been playing at golf for 30 plus years off and on. 3 Weeks ago I bought your book The Single Plane Golf Swing and read it, studied it and began practicing the single plane swing at the driving range. Yesterday, I played my first round of golf with the single plane swing and improved my game dramatically. My golf buddy could not believe the drives and iron shots that I was making. On two separate par 5's, I was on the green in 2.... Now I need to work on my putting, because I missed my first ever attempt at an Eagle. Thank you Todd Graves for helping to love golf again.

Same story as you,it will go wrong on the tee box but you'll soon realize you have started coming over the top Old habit for me, always sliced the driver until I tried the single plane swing and More important the grip to neutral, let the back hand off the throttle as I call it and keep that hand and arm totally relaxed in the back swing let the elbow collapse early so that it doesn't stick out behind your back at the top of the back swing , try to feel the weight of the club head in your hands when you relax your grip to the point where you think it's going to slip from your hands only then will you achieve that feel and when you know where the Head of the club is at the top try to let gravity do you a big favor it will pull the club head towards the heels momentarily don't be in any rush to get them arms out of that position the coiled body unwinding will start that process for you , what a difference it makes what a sound, distance, height with that body tilted 9 degree loft to the clouds If I want to no prob.

I'm 42 and only started golfing in 2014. I've had 6 eagles including one hole-in-one, two hole-outs, one gimme eagle where I nearly made an albatross on a par 5, one on a par 4 where I drove the green and made a 15-20 foot putt, and one on a par 5 where I was on in 2 and made a nice 12-15 foot putt. Not to brag or anything tho.😅

Takes club slightly inside, shorter backswing, full acceleration, draw-spin by allowing the wrists to breakdown through impact increasing the loft, no divot - every time. During this COVID yr, I've spent an enormous amount of time chipping & pitching - practicing both the heel off-the-ground fade spin shot and this Right Wrist Flexion through impact Draw-Spin shot Mo is hitting (Tiger talks about this shot as well). It takes me 30 minutes of warmup to get my mind focused enough and arms & hands lose enough to pull it off - it's like a drug

Todd, I've become fascinated by Moe's videos in recent weeks and while I haven't tried to adapt my swing to Single Plane principles yet, I find that if I watch Moe hitting shots, and listen to him talk, for a while, I find I play better when I next pick up my clubs! It's a gentle, 'peaceful' influence that seems to help me swing easier and make better shots. Thank you.

Yep, I'm adapting to it now. What I'm feeling is that being so far from the ball creates a flat approach (further than any other pro ever). The feeling is releasing the right out and underneath and it feels like a stretch. I believe this so key, being stretched out. To hit the ball once set up while keeping a solid base, you hit out at the ball to reach it. Definately not mastered these short ones with Moe Technique yet but the full and half wedges feel amazing, so much natural lag and right elbow being in away, free and ready to release perfectly. (I'll work backwards from full to short.)

Todd this is absolutely the best video I have seen on pitching. The graphic way you explained how the butt of the club points at the ball and the the tossing feeling with the right hand on the downswing really clicked with me. I immediately went into my backyard, aimed at my fence gate and made solid strikes each time with much improved accuracy. I am presently recovering from a medical back procedure and planning to get back to golf within the next month. Going to learn the single plane swing by getting one on one lessons from one of your coaches. Thanks for making all of these videos, they will help me to start learning the single plane swing. Bye the way, Moe looked to be a pretty sweet guy.

Todd your willingness and ability to stay patient with Moe was outstanding. It gave you the opportunity to listen and INTERPRET what many people could not. Watching his swing in slow motion looks like a miniature version of his full swing in many ways. 70 yard pitch - 130 foot putt, I toss it into the hole 50 yard pitch - To the front of the green; Takes is little to the outside, which pops it up a little and allows for a little more finesse. To the back of the green; Back of the stance and more brisk in the delivery. Never wants back spin, always feeling the roll out. Knock the sucker in. How can you not love Moe? Regarding the 60 degree; When you asked him which club would you leave out of the bag? I like what he said; It depends on the course, do I need my 5 wood or maybe my 3 wood. I think many people don't fully appreciate what the totality of golf course management really is. Some of that is happening before you even walk onto the course.

For over 45 years I have always had the left hand domination for a right handed player throughout the full swing, as That is what the books and video's teach then just the other week after a few day's practicing Moe's/Todds right hand tossing motion of the follow through I have gained more consistency in longer and straighter shots! I am a new man/golfer looking forward to next season too start! Thanks ever so much Todd for showing us guy's out here Moe's swing, without you taking interest in Moe's swing and in his method in showing us the swinging of the club would have vanished along with Moe leaving his beloved game of golf, RIP Moe, surly missed!

I think Moe might be using an Accuform wedge. They were a Canadian company that made clubs in the ‘ 80’s. They were very simple looking, blade like iron. Years ago I had a short game lesson with an Canadian LPGA pro named Carole Dawson. She played many rounds with Moe in Florida during the winter. They used to play for 25 cents for every flag stick hit. With the exception of Paul Azinger she’s the best wedge player I’ve seen in person. Crisp, low shots that made a hissing sound.

Just reviewed this again. Moe was a genius in that he knew exactly what he was doing - but - couldn't really accurately explain it. Your genius is in that you can "explain" exactly what Moe meant!

At 12:07 you mention the ball is back in your stance. Since we pivot around the front leg, if you pull your trail leg back and look you'll see the ball is actually off of the heel of your lead foot. That allows the club to shallow through impact and not strike down and dig into the ground. Probably why Moe didn't take divots. Check out Bradley Hughes short game and Secret Golf too. That's what they teach.

Todd. Great video. Question. I noticed you choked all the way down on club. Do you ever hold the club at the end when pitching ? Or always choke up?

The legend Moe .now we have Bryson the very same Single Plane Swing .it is so reapable you eliminate all the different thought process .Paralysis by Analysis .and as you are in the same turn plane you remove all the different body movements and remove the chances of injury

I notice how Moe addresses the ball which looks like 2-4 inches behind the ball rather than up against it like most golfers do. Is this something that should be looked at more? And where the hell is the divot??? Phenomenal!!!!!!

If you start the club X distance from the ball, you've essentially simplified the backswing by X distance. Or at least that's the theory.

Best ball striker ever...I’m sold. Every shot is like he hit off a range mat. Barely even clips the tips of the grass

Watch the video. More takes it to the inside. And his hands don't go to the target. Club and hands go left after impact. I have been watching Moe's videos for a few years. I plan to adapt his swing because of my bad back

@@ToddGravesGolf I'm really hoping Moe gets some sort of feature during the open at Oakdale this year.... He was a regular around there playing with Knudson and Wilf Homenuik

Hands still lead and butt end of the club still does not face the body. Your single plane trainer works with the wedge as well. Great video. I’ve seen the original so many times.
