Hello friends in this video I have developed a single phase motor speed controller card.
this card has the option to control speed via potentiometer, 0 to 10V DC or RS485 Modbus RTU protocol.
This can handle up to load of 1KW single phase induction motor.
the principle of speed control is based on zero cross over detection and triac firing.

Caution.
230V AC voltage is involved in this project.

You are amazing :D Thanks for video ...
Without feedback unfortunately. But also cool ! If it will have feedback it can used by DC motors in electric tools.
Excellent
Wonderful
Can we control speed of Universal motor which is used in front load washing machine ??
Sir, If I want to use 110VAC power, how can I choice the parts to change?
Can you make a 3phase moter variable speed controler with feedback ofthe position of the roter
Can this be used with a 120v application?
What is the value of resistances R6,r7,r8 & r9
You need current zero cross detection otherwise it will work only with resistive load and small power unloaded induction motor. Thanks
Can you make Spring Machine DIY
What is the reason for using icsp programmer? Why not direct Arduino ide rx tx pins ?

you can not only write but also read flash memory via ICSP, also you can access lock & fuse bits.

no it can't the power traces of pcb can hamdle max 5 to 6 amps
Hold on a second now, You Cannot effectively control the speed of a single phase AC motor with a potentiometer, unless you have discovered some New scientific technique. Potentiometers on a single phase motor will Damage the motor. The potentiometer will basically clip the voltage, or cut the “tops and bottoms” of the frequency wave of AC current. This starves the motor in order to slow it down. As someone who has 2 variable frequency drives with 3 Phase motors on both a lathe and a belt grinder, this is the Proper way to control speed. The variable frequency drive, as the name suggests, changes the frequency of the sine wave, making the wave fatter or skinnier, to control speed. DC motors can be speed controlled with potentiometers. AC motors in a furnace that have 3 speeds for the fan, have 2 separate coil windings. Low speed is with the first small set of windings, 2nd speed is switching to the second set of windings, and then high speed is using both winding sets together. If you could effectively control a single phase AC motor’s speed under load, without damaging it (which clipping the voltage would do) this would be a game changer. And every appliance motor in the world would be variable speed. To the person who asked about the washing machine motor, No you cannot vary its speed. I am very much willing to eat my words if you can indeed effect variable AC motor speed, without clipping the voltage. I have a Bridgeport Mill I would retrofit, 3 old drilling machines, and a lathe that needs rebuilding. Please, please, teach me how to run my AC motors with variable speed under load without damaging them. I’m all ears, and I will put your picture up on my shop wall!! Jeremy Fielding has an amazing web site, and discusses all the issues of A/C motors, and DC motors. Everyone should check out his web site.
This is not your voice and I'm also skeptical about the content of this video. This is not your usual way of showing your projects

@@MrInnovative For me, your voice has far more expressiveness. The accent absolutely doesn't matter. It actually gives more character to your videos ✌️
