What are contacts 97 and 98 used for?

I just got a dol starter, been using a more advanced pump starter but them being finicky and burning out too easily. The dol starter was already wired up, it's a 3 phase. It's quite complicated opening and seeing all these wires

On my AM2 i did the calcs from the faceplate and incorporated the p.f i told my examiner I was doing it this way and he was fine. Think they chould make it a bit more difficult, by having you choose the correct rated contactor with the correct coil voltage. 2 wires to connect did not show skill in wiring a dol.

If had the diagrame for the schematic it really helps, the shematic you can follow much easy , in this case you have to go back to the old vidoe whole diagrame but in the case of schematic even if someone does not understand it he or she can still wire it actually.

3p is pretty much the same. Apart from the neutral goes direct into A2 of the coil L1L2L3 in T1T2T3 out.

Can I convert my existing 220 wiring to 115v?

i got a dol starter,sprecher & schuh.it has the phase going into L1 & out on T3 to motor with T1-T2 .& L2-L3 linked, strange that the manufacturer puts the phase thro the relay as opposed to you running the neutral thro,...also 95 is internally permanently linked to A2 of the coil. 7the

When purchasing these contactors ,there is a short link between terminal 14 and A2 directly below,What is the purpose of this and should it be removed if wiring up like shown?Thankyou.

How do you figure overload setting out when it’s not written into the specifications?

Where would I connect my two wires coming front the compressor pressure switch?

Can you explain why you have to loop the neutral back round through the contractor again and not straight into the motor?

Hi Guy's, I've Purchased A Pre Wired On Line Starter With Overload, The A1 Is Linked To L1 & A2 Is Linked To 13, After Watching These Videos I'm A Little Confused? Any Ideas Welcomed.

there was no 97 98 connected on the drawing

Sadly i dont understand anything in that messy box, its much easier to take everything apart use drawn schematics to explain the connections then wire everything one by one and explaining using the drawing. I saw this on an Udemy course and it was very easy to understand, i understand the idea behind the contactor > Overload > auxiliary contacts and coil power going through the overload before going into the contactor but the little box is too messy and hard to follow what is happening in there.
