She's not only raising her education level, she is also helping her child and setting an example for him to follow. Hopefully and Prayerfully, also teaching him God, Jesus and the Bible.

My Sociology prof. wouldn't even let a student's kid (he was prob 6/7 yrs. old) inside to wait w/her for his ride! She had explained to the prof. before class started that his ride is running a bit late. She didn't care at all and said NO!

This picture made me cry with lots of emotions. I can definitely understand what she must have been going through balancing time between college and taking care of her baby. This does set an example of somebody like the Professor seeing that precious life, which is the baby. Even if this picture is rare, we can think differently about this as in care and instincts inside of us.

I had a professor who brought his kid to class and held a lecture while holding his kid. The kid was screaming and whining. The entire time the professor was struggling to keep the kid quiet. It was very awkward and hard to pay attention. I had the opposite reaction, I thought it was extremely rude and unprofessional of him to do that. He could have cancelled class or instead record himself doing the lecture on a day off and post it online or something and just stay home with his kid.

What would have been inspiring if there was someone in his class with a kind heart and magic touch to help calm baby down. I understand your objection though.

Teaching a subject while at the same time teaching an example of compassion. Total package.

They should have educational facilities for parents with cheap daycare onsite

My professor is so compassionate that he came up to me during class and took my son right out of my arms and left me sitting there crying.

Bless the professor, mom and the baby! This story made me cry! Imagine how many mothers and single fathers would have stayed in school / college or otherwise, if more people cared like this professor!

Mom, you've got nothing to be embarrassed about. And seriously, what a sweet man this professor is
