Male cougars őr basically any big cats very rarely takes care of the cubs. I saw ín a documentary that a male tiger took care of his 2 orphaned cubs. But its VERY rare

There still needs to be some work done on the AI. A smaller cave where you can hide the young animal when you go hunting with the adult would not go amiss. Can enemies get into the large caves with multiple exits? The little ones are definitely freaking out.

The dev is working on the AI. I saw on the discord channel that they have started on the wolf and it looks amazing. I was thinking the same thing with the huge cave. I wanted one were my racoon was, the one with the tree and only 1 entrance, but could not remember were it was :(

You picked the same den I use for my cougar family lol, also if you target a animal you want to hunt then starting running at it, it will tell you to hit space bar which will give you a speed boost and once your close enough to your prey the timing mini game will come and has a chance to stun your prey or injure them making hunting easier once you get the hang of it

Most cats operate similarly, except for like lions and cheetahs who stay in family groups. But males almost never take part in the care of cubs. Cougars are solitary until they mate, then the male buggers off and the female raises the cub by herself until its ready to defend and feed itself. Then it goes off on its own.

I was so sad when the mom died that I could not let the little cub go 😭 I'm just role playing at this moment that Benji (the male) hit his head really hard and that made him take care of the cub.

They should add a breeding season mode

11:43 yup! They do!just like a domesticated cat they do it as much as they might need! Like traveling, just moving them somewhere else, all that good stuff! And after that the male just dips- the male leaves and if he does see the female and the cub again, just like bears, they would probably try to kill his family XDD

It is called the Wilds but the Dev is moving from unity to unreal so this game will not be updated or not for a while.
