Single Action DOUBLE TAPS!
Спорт
Welcome to the channel guys!
This is my very first video covering one of the many techniques we use in the sport of cowboy action shooting. Whether you're a cowboy shooter or not this technique is a fun way to perform fast follow up shots with your single action revolver. Heck! Get good enough and you might be able to make two shots sound like one!
Where to learn more about cowboy action shooting - www.sassnet.com/
I hope you guys like the video, I'm still learning about the whole video process. We'll be working to improve our videos with each and every one so check back often, or better yet subscribe so you don't miss out on these cool techniques!
See y'all in the next video...or better yet, on the range!

Finally somebody shows the right way to shoot a single action. Nice job bro very smooth very fast very accurate
About 4 or 5 months ago I saw this video and it inspired me to pick CAS back up after more than 20 years of being away from the game. Now I got a couple Pieta 357's been to a match and like I'm reborn. Thanks DeadEye I hope to see you out there someday.

That's awesome to hear! Welcome back, see ya out there!
I grew up with an old single six Ruger and in the years that followed served in the submarine service and the the U.S. Border Patrol. During my time in the Patrol I served 9 years as a Firearms Instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Trainng Center and I can say that I have NEVER seen anything like that. I was truly “Blown Away!” REQUEST: I have seen Lomghunter do the one round reload which was amazing and that would be a great thing to show folks. If they are defending themselves with a SAA it could make a Big difference. Thanks...
Thank you for the education and for providing an alternative to the tacticool dudes. I like the low-key, Joe Friday presentation.
Finally, someone shows what's happening when the cowboys fan the hammer. I always wondered if the trigger reset itself and needed to be pulled again or if the sear stayed disengaged from the hammer.
This Video makes me love Single Action Revolvers even more 👍👍👍
Great video. I’ve read about shots so fast they sound like a single shot but this is the first time I’ve ever seen it done. Well done and thanks for the video.

Great video! Now a double tap video for duelist / gunfighters 😃
Dude I'm up here in Canada, just saw this video and subscribed to my very first channel, I mean I just don't do that. You did a really awesome job on this, your first video, and I only want to say the demo was clean, clear and easy to follow, not to mention executed flawlessly. As far as your approach & production, don't change a damd thing you just did. All the best, Dillon.
You made that Look Much Simpler than it is.... Practice! Thank You
This is awesome to see. I'm 23 and carry a rough rider with the 22 wmr cylinder every day nearly and to see someone else shoot like this is amazing when with today there are so many tactical nuts that are so biased to a auto loader which there's nothing wrong with that but it is always nice to see a well disciplined fellow slinger 👍👍

How many trigger springs have you gone through? I had mine only a week before it broke, I won’t try any more trick shots.

Your not alone bro. We do it that way here in Texas. Been that way for centuries.

@@cw4933 depends on the fun maker as to spring quality. Go with an after market spring kit and it will help. The upgrade shouldn’t cost a lot from a good company. I just ordered a fresh spring kit for my Uberti Hombre in .357/.38. I went with the wire trigger and bolt spring in my kit instead of the flat spring. Good luck.

@@EPGunman are you sure they have those for the heritage 22 though, it doesn’t seem the type, I just ordered an extra one, real flimsy those things.

Love the video! I just bought a .45LC for bear defense with 260 loads.. Wanted to work on some speed shots when needed! Thanks again!
Very well done, Deadeye.
Really great video , both in production and content. Keep it coming.
Really good video. I thoroughly enjoyed it!! Looking forward to the next one.
I enjoyed your video, very cool. Thanks for showing that technique!
Very good presentation! Thank you!
This was great. Keep them coming.
Great video! Look forward to more!
I like your double tap, its awsome! I had a colt single action (copy) before and did double taps in a different way. I cocked the hammer with my drawing hand while getting on target and shoot, then i "fanned" it with my other hand. It Was a "BABAM", almost impossible to hear it was two shots. Anyway, i appriciate your videos, Patrik - Sweden.
Awesome video, very well done👍. Great explanations of the technique. Keep it up 😁
Excellent first vide! Looking forward to more content.
Thank you Dead Eye! Great tutorial on the single action double tap! The Telemark Kid
Very informative video can't wait for the next one
Bravo! Well made training video. Explanation is superb. Simple and precise. Time to practice. 👍🏻👍🏻
I am amazed!
Great video, I’m a single action fan so I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Your first video was good, camera work and editing were excellent and most important the sound was great didn’t have to keep turning my volume up and down. Keep up the good work
Cool, I can't wait to try that out.
Thanks for a great instructional and informative subject I'll have to try this with my cap and ball remingtons
Wow. This dude is a great teacher. Subbed.
Thank you. Please keep posting.
Good 1st couple of videos! I’d love to see a follow-up to this one where you talk about how (if) you string double taps together or work them into shot strings.
I've been looking for Cowboy Action shooting stuff for a while and this is the first time seeing this channel. You have my interest. Also, I have the Taylor's Runnin' Iron that is very similar to that, so this applies to me perfectly. Subscribed.
Just became a sub. Awesome vid... can’t wait for your next installment on pistol shooting techniques.
Excellent! Many thanks cowboy!
Good stuff Dead Eye!
Awesome. Thanks “Dead Eye.” Looking forward to trying this CAS stuff. Have a shotgun, one pistol, and another pistol on layaway. Have enough to practice what you have shown here. Appreciate you taking the time to share. Motivational. Need this kind of pin point training.
Pretty sick man I'm going to practice this Thanks for the video!
Nice bro!! That was bad ass. 🇺🇸
this is amazing!
Great info. Thank you
Great vid, awesome technique. Thanks
Very impresionant speed and technic !!
Great Technique! Thanks for Sharing! 💥💥💥💥
had to come back and watch this again awesome
Man this is crazy impressive.
Great video, Thank you looking forward to the next one. Going to put a link to it on the wire.
Real good job. Making sure on that aim is a big deal. I remember Fredrick Jackson Turner telling me the follow up shots tend to be a bit higher. Keeping my front site a bit below center seems to be effective for me.
Great first video love the content keep it up!
Great video!!
Great.. Perfect for beginners
Dawn bro. Speechless, and you are so young too. Wao!!! RESPECT...
would have never known it was your video if you hadnt told us.. great job!! Im subscribing...

Nice. Very well explained, Partner! I've subscribe your channel and looking forward for new videos. Keep it up! 🤠
I'ma try it this weekend.
Great video
Those are some really nice holsters.
Great first video.
Slick !
I like your rig.
Mean while, here is little me trying to double tap a 4click hammer and only getting to 3 clicks on the second go, my left thumb is about worthless. I know it's an old video but that is still some awesome shooting dead eye.
Great first video. You've obviously done your KZreadr homework. ;) The close up slow-mo was a great addition. I'm still getting into CAS (still researching and looking at gear) and I look forward to more of your informative videos.

You are what La'mour would call a "heller with a gun." Great work man. Subscribed.
Your first video? Very nice job. Great technique. Excuse me now, I'm going for my snap caps, 🤣
Thank you very much
That was nuts 😂😂 just got my first single action and looking to get like this 😂🤙
Good Job, just subscribed
I am more of a semi-auto guy but once upon a time, decided I wanted to get into SASS. It was a good excuse to acquire some cool old school gear, but sadly, I discovered that I will never be fast enough with a single action to be remotely competitive, even at the local level. I still shoot my Vaqueros on occasion though, and watching you shoot was amazing. Good luck with your channel,(subscribed), and I am looking forward to more.
Good instructional video. Nice job! I'm going to put a link to it on my FB page, SASS and Cowboy Action Shooting.

Sir, you are doing gymnastics with your thumb. You must be on the same level as Mr. Jerry Miculek. I salute your skill. Two thumbs up.
I'm kind of late to the party but must say I loved the video
great job with SA
Thanks
Like all of us do? You are a little more advanced than we are sir! Cool video though, I’m going to master it.
Marvelous lesson, Dead Eye, thank you. Please keep them coming, sir. Col. Montana Kid Hammer 6476P
Good job, pard! Regards from Russia ;)
THANKS
Wow that's incredible! On a production note, get a microphone closer to your voice, or at least a more high quality directional mic. Also run some compression on the audio to help smooth out the difference between the quiet and loud parts. And the biggest thing is to make sure the dialog is the same volume as the music clips you use, that's the biggest mistake I see people make and it's an unpleasant surprise to crank the stereo when you're talking then have the stock music clips blow out your ear drums. Lol Keep up the good work though I can't wait to see what you do! Subscribed!
Fabulous. The best demo of slip hammer I have seen. Subscribed immediately. Somewhat unrelated (more of a tactical SA issue not applicable to CAS) have you ever tried single handed slip hammer (think multiple close quarters shot while grappling)? P.S. I agree with Winslow, had trouble hearing your voice and then intro music blasts in. Same with gunshots.

Thanks! My first video was an editing nightmare, lol. Honestly, for self defence, I wouldn't be using a single action.
iI Dead Eye. Been enjoying your excellent and well done training tip videos. Question. Have you presented any info on reloading recipes, or can you direct us all to some recipes that you use? Thanks
Charles Richards and William Mason just felt very honoured by you from Heaven

Great video. A couple of questions, what is you take on the setup with removed trigger, and on dry fire training in slow motion? Thank you in advance for your answers.
Dead Eye, great first video. Content 👍 Editing 👍 (that’s 2 Gunfighter-Thumbs-Up). - Jed Eye... er, I. 😉 I noticed you were shootin’ on the move. Do you also participate in Western 3 Gun?

That was fucking awesome. I had no idea you could do that.
merci
Wish I watched your video before I went to the gun range. I had no idea that how you unload the gun. I was spinning the cylinder and shaking my gun lol
