I think you're right. I saw a bit of that when I did her cover of Alone.

Floor was so sick she could not even stand earlier in the day but still mustered up enough to go on stage and do her job.

This band is so magical and fun on stage. My wife and I got to see them perform live in San Francisco on May 18th, 2022 and the show was wonderful from standing in line with the other fans to get into the venue until the very end of the show. I love your Nightwish with Floor reactions. Keep them coming.

A lower register for Floor as she starts, ramping it up again. 5:45 Emppu gesturing to Floor in appreciation. Now you have heard how Floor sounds like when she is battling the flu, but show must go on ... She IS the Valkyrie Goddess, and True Professional !!! This song hit me hard , especially that first verse : "The sheltering shade of the forest Calling come in silence Accompanied only by the full moon Howling of a night wolf And the path under my bare feet The elvenpath" . I walked home through the woods after work, it was already dark. And suddenly a full moon appeared behind the clouds, and then, this verse Hit me (I think it was also Floor's voice). Loved your reaction. This performance is from their Decades tour where they played a lot of old tunes. Elvenpath is from their first album Angel's Fall First. Elvenjig is not a regular Nightwish song and is not on any album that I am aware of. It is an adaption of a song Troy brought from his previous band Iona called Jigs Iona was a progressive Celtic band. Kind of a Dream Theater meets Clannad. The "flute" is in fact an Irish Low Whistle. similar to a tin whistle but in a lower key (D is pretty common).

Floor's costume was a customized ensemble from Royal Black Couture, Vienna Austria. It is best to be viewed with the beautiful Aphrodite style cape, and that is the meaning of this outfit: The Goddess of Love.....😍

Her outfit was designed in Vienna. They did a great job. a prefect outfit for a tall woman like Floor. As many times. I love most of her outfits very much.

Madame Realistic, not a flute, it's a low whistle, Troy also plays the high whistle in places. Marko is a Warwick endorser, the double neck is a Warwick Infinity bass combined with a Framus (Warwick own Framus) Panthera six string, very heavy and very, very expensive combination, you saw that Marko changed to a regular Warwick Infinity bass after the initial section.

Hiya, great raction as ever, and I am so pleased you enjoyed the performance. 'Elvenjig'' is not a Nightwish composition at all! In fact, it is a Troy-penned piece of music which he wrote when he was with his own band 'Iona'. There is a clip on YT (after Troy had left them) performing a version of the song. 'Elvenpath' is the opening album track on Nightwish' inaugural release back in 1997, which because of personnel changes only features Tuomas and Emppu. FYI, Nightwish release their new song 'Perfume of The Timeless' on May 21. Cheers x

Nightwish never fails to amaze. They meld together like few bands out there. If you haven't found the 2 documentaries on Floor, you might check them out. One is a reunion of high school music classmates of Floor's and she and they discuss the HS years together to the present. The second is Floor at the family farm in Switzerland during the winter mostly. You get a sense of the person she is away from the stage. She's as beautiful of a person as she is world class singer. Unassuming and grounded into the earth. She is an extraordinary woman and human being. One neat part was talking to her husband about them meeting. Quickly, he found out Floor likes a good cigar and a nice shot of whiskey. With that, he was done and he made sure she was his. Pretty damn cool !

Because Floor was sick as Fenris (her dog), the intended video registration was moved to a later show and that became the famous Buenos Aires 2018 recording. Check the same song there and see if there are big differences in her performance)🤓

Track one from the first album, Elvenpath. A separate song from Troys origins in Celtic Progressive Folk, Elvenjig. Now played as a pair (though not on the setlists for a long while). In this performance you get to see how Marco and Emppu are making the sounds at the start. The costume: custom made (Floor is unusually tall so most of her costumes have to be custom designed) the Austrian designers Royal Black Couture, promised never to make another - so however "cool" you think it looks, you ain't getting one😁 I suggest another concert from this tour. The best of all the concerts IMO, try, from Buenos Aires 2018 (sometimesis-titled as 2019🙄) one or all of the following: * Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, incredible drumming and even more incredible vocals from both Floor and Marco, quite heavy * Dead Boys Poem - Tuomas' most personal song until Poet and the Pendulum, a powerful ballad in which Floors expressive voice will make you weep * Slaying the Dreamer - a rare angry song from Thomas in which the vocal pyrotechnics outdo even Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean. Wild ride after 2 hours of performing. Not too long before another Nightwish I hope..

And Floor was sick back then. 😱👍 And s tip gor your husband. Play a little with your beard, like l do. In Winter l grow a massive black (noe grey) beard like a winter fur. Then in Spring l cut all bald - beard and hair. Simsalabim, l look 20 years younger. Thid trick really works if your fur grows like mine. 😅👍
