Anyone can sing. Seriously anyone. The voice is a muscle and if you want an awesome singing voice then you simply need to train that muscle. It will help enormously to get a good singing teacher but in the meantime these daily exercises may help. Good Luck. :)

I love to sing and have a decent voice, but I have always been extremely weak in that mid-range where the switch happens. It's made me dread singing in front of others, even though I have a nice voice otherwise. I've done these exercises a couple times a week for maybe a couple months and I have noticed a dramatic difference! I can't believe it. For the first time in my life I feel confident singing. Thank you!

Wow, you're my new favorite page. You're my foray back into singing. You seem to be the only one to teach with piano.
im so grateful for this lesson, i want to cry. i am an alto and i get furstrated when i sing bcause my voice easily cracks. :( there are times that i get discouraged. thank u Verba Vocal for not only teaching techniques but for encouraging us as well.
Wow, That was a work out! You're a very intuitive instructor, I was like "how did she know I switched too early?!" Haha. Awesome session, Thank you!

Love love love your channel! Thank you so much for posting very specific and no-nonsense exercises and information with professionalism!
Thank you for lovely training your voice tips. I will practice daily....
I love these exercises and do them often. I would love one like this that has more of a steady rhythm to it(doesn't pause so much and repeat the same one un-equal amounts) Like a daily voice exercise video for mixing head and chest would be tremendous! But more importantly, Your videos are a staple in my life right now, SO THANK YOU GREATLY!!!
What an amazingly helpful video! I keep coming back to it!
Oh wow! I've always to learn to sing. You have giving so much confidence in myself. I"m so glad to come across your video. You're the best out there. Thank you so much for posting your videos. They have been helpful. I'm a new subscriber!
I have not done this particular lesson for a while but making the switch is getting a lot more comfortable now as you have taught me to really understand the difference between the chest and head voices. Last July I had no idea what it meant! Now when I do these exercises I really feel the changes. I discovered the video before this one, where you give the tips, so it was a very useful precursor to this video. Off I go to the "singing room" now - don't want to bore you silly, but accept my very grateful thanks "comme d'habitude" (= as usual). Kind regards.
I'm a beginner, this is very helpful. And this is only exercise that I found on YT. Thank you!
This is the best switching video! Thank you!!
this is my go to video after I do my warm ups! its fantastic and I really hear and FEEL a difference !
I wish I could hire her to teach me singing! She always knows what I need to make my voice better with these great lessons! THANK YOU SO MUCH xox
Sooo helpful! Thank you, Anna!
Great exercises! Thanks a lot!! This has always been a huge struggle for me!
I was just getting ready to ask if you could make a video on this very topic! You're killin the game out here (which means your the best).

Hello Anna. I love this video for the gear changes and switching exercises but have had to give up after a few minutes because of the poor internet connection we have here. However I did want to write again, because I asked a question a while ago about my voice becoming very dry and you rightly said to drink more water. Luckily that does help. But this morning I sang these songs: You Must Love Me, Don't Cry for Me Argentina, I'd be Surprisingly Good for You and If You Loved Me. I put heart and soul into my singing but by the end there were a few breaks and I became a bit croaky. I am hoping you are going to say you still don't think it's a problem because I can't do without singing (more) now. So sorry to bother you with this again, but I guess I am hoping it's just the same kind of thing as before. By the way, I have done OK with the exercises. I have also forgotten to tell you before that I can do the Vibrato now. Before I started using your wonderful videos, I tried to do it, but of course it wasn't right, but when you said that it would "come", I knew it would and it comes naturally in songs now, and where it's needed, I THINK! Thank you as always Anna. Kindest regards to you and Mark.
I love these exercisesand they really are so helpful
thank u! you dont even get how much i needed this!
Anna is very beautiful and nice, and her teaching is pretty easy and clear, anyone would be so lucky to have her as a singing teacher

I have quite a strong head voice (in the sense that my higher notes are quite strong and resonant) but I really struggle singing lower notes in my head voice in the exercise. Any tips?
@VerbaVocal
7 жыл бұрын
+PinkGymnaticsGirl It may just be that your head voice doesn't go that low. That's not a bad thing, it's just that everyone's voice sits at a different register. Head voice is really for higher range anyway, so as long as you've got power up high then I wouldn't worry! You can use chest voice for the lower notes.
@PinkGymnaticsGirl

Thanks s much for replying! I feel like these exercises will really help since I find that some notes in the lower/middle part of my register, right where I go into head voice, are a little weak (especially since my higher notes are pretty strong)

Hey I just noticed that you run a singing training channel as well and I am really stunned cause I used to watch your singing videos quite a long time ago and I recently switched to your other channel for English lessons but until now I didn't know that you were the same girl who runs both the channels. I love the way you're working as both vocal coach and an English teacher .keep it up! and yes you're cute (:

Do you also do actual singing courses? I feel you are an amazing teacher
luv it
First time checking out your channel awesome content 👏 I'm trying to learn how to switch between head a chest voice all I'm feeling so far is throat and chest is this normal? Does it take a while to make it go to your head or should that come naturally? I took a test last week and it said i have a range of 1 octaves from C# 2 to Bb3 it was my first time taking the test hopefully i can improve that soon
Does a deep bite have any effect on one's voice? I sing most of the songs easily but have a lot of difficulty due to tension in my jaws. My voice usually ends up being nasal and ultimately it hurts my nose and throat.
Thank you❤🎆✊😍
I looked through your playlists and videos but I couldn't find if you have a video on finding my mixed voice. Have you done one? It's my current challenge - I don't know how to mix in M1 to M2, I only know that I have to do so!
This is so fun
Thank you thank you thank you ^^ You are amazing !!! :)
I don't know really where to post this comment Anna. I read somewhere that you said try and sing a range of different types of song (correct me if I'm wrong) which I am doing. My favourite genre is still musical theatre and always will be, but I am pushing myself all the same. I have been practising "The first time ever I saw your face" because of the very slow music. So of course it makes me hold all the notes which I am managing to do. I don't allow myself to stick with the "easy" stuff, as I love a challenge. By the way this video really helps distinguishing between the 2 voices. GREAT GREAT GREAT! Kind regards, comme d'habitude!
