Ah! I am so glad to find that there are more people besides me that appreciate this masterpiece.
You are absolutely right. These five were meant to sing together. Perfection!
You just had the conversation all Home Fries have had... "You wanna listen to it again, right now?" "Hell, yeah!" 😁
They keep getting better and better! Their newest one, a Boys 2 Men song, is a tour de force for Rob. Unbelievable.

Rob's voice is amazing. He was the perfect fit for the lead in this song. I can't wait to hear Marco and Ali's reaction to it.
Chance is definitely one of the best things to happen to Home Free, but I think having Adam Rupp joining in on this one with his baitone/tenor voice helped fill the void that many groups have. Makes the sound much fuller and richer. This was very, very good, but you haven't heard anything until you watch their Boyz II men cover of 'End Of The Road' cover. Rob does something that will absolutely blow your socks off. And Adam with his drum skills knocks it out of the park, too. Thanks, guys. You've been missed.

I agree, it felt a little top heavy with Chris, and now Tim gets to take a break from the background bass
Getting to have Adam Rupp on one of the inner harmonic parts adds some wonderful extra depth to the sound.
I really like this format, with you playing it all the way through and then playing it again with comments. Thanks!
Love the fullness of sound when all 5 are singing. Just gorgeous. And I got to hear this LIVE !!! EVEN BETTER if you can believe
Careful. I’ve found that when anyone says “they can’t possibly get better”, they take that as a challenge.
This is so lush, and deep and emotional and unbelievably gorgeous. So Emotional. Velvety, and totally stunning! And the velvet suits! Wow! I was gobsmacked. Chance has been working on his lower register. Tim is now up to 5 1/2 octaves. Chance is like about 4 1/2. Just friggin amazing. They begin so simply and then it gradually gets more and more complex. I think that is why those runs that Chance did at the end was just perfect. I am loving the amazing way those 2 basses just fill the room. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. BTW 'Subtle' is the word for so much of this song. And that is why it is so brilliant.

Love your reaction to this ... I keep having to listen to all of their songs over and over again. They do have the right blend of the voices and only seem to be getting better with each video
Guys, thanks so much for continuing your reactions to Home Free. Even if you say the same things, your reactions and expressions are worth every minute. " Eargasms over and over", loved it Sir
I wish you could have heard them do this live and acoustic at their Christmas shows. It was AMAZING. I was lucky enough to see it 6 times and will never forget it.

I know, right. I kept finding myself yawning by the end of their songs and I'm like "what the hell, I'm certainly not bored." Here it was because I was holding my breath and needed oxygen.
Loved that you played the video a couple times and did an analysis on the second play. Please do this again with Home Free! Wait until you hear Rob sing "End of the Road". He finally got to show off his R&B chops, and killed it!
I've heard this several times and it is just beautiful, but you have given me so much more dimension to listen to. Thanks for breaking it down.
wait til you hear End of the Road. I love you guys, you appreciate everything. :-)
Really like your changes and news visuals for the reactions. The larger size of the video frame helps to appreciate the video while listening to your reactions. Love the black backdrop as well!
Love the repeat with the analysis. Careful when you say they can’t get better as they might surprise you.
This song is sung in US on New Year's; very traditional. Aren't they just awesome!!!!

I saw them on December 29th and they sang this song off mic as a curtain call. Awesome!
There's really no one on earth better than Home Free, is there? Pentatonix had all these huge breaks consisting of Xmas specials, Star Wars stuff, all of it on major networks, etc., yet these amazingly talented guys have yet to see one thing such as that happen to them. But it has to here soon; they deserve nothing less. And these two cool guys are the only ones who, when they listen to someone perform, allow you to listen to it with a good quality stereo/5.1. Others don't. Kudos, guys. Keep it up, and thanks.
Harmonic perfection personified in these five men. I recently discovered Home Free and I am profoundly gobsmacked with their impeccable vocal abilities.
Wasn't that just the best you ever heard of that famous old song? Your reactions are the best because you truly understand music, harmonies and can pick out all the parts. Seeing your faces was priceless!!!! Thanks.
The absolute PERFECT Home Free reaction video. NO ONE does it better than you guys and it really, really sucks that you can't do this style of reacting anymore. You both "get it". You pick up on the intricacies and share them with us, who don't have as trained an ear to notice. And that's what I enjoy the most. Here's wishing you guys a Merry Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year from the US.
Hey guys...long time subscriber here. Absolutely love your reactions. This time though...WOW. Marco! I am all about that stank face bro. When music is just so damn good and your just in awe over the performance that you just screw up your face a bit. Well that's everything! Also a long time Home Fry. These 5 will always be tops for me. Thanks for your honest and meaningful reactions.
I too, listen to it over and over again. Phenomenal.
Yall's reactions and commentary mirror mine exactly! Definitely one of the best channels on the whole of KZread. Keep making great videos.
Love your reactions! Can't wait for your reaction to End of the Road! That will blow your socks off!

I love the way you did this reaction! Watched it all first then broke it down l. That was awesome! I had the pleasure of hearing this live on Dec. 23rd! Absolutely fantastic! Now I can't wait to see your reaction to their newest video....End Of The Road....by Boys II Men! Rob is epic!
So refreshing to watch a Home Free reaction video by someone who can actually 1) hear the intricate vocal positioning and mastery taking place and 2) recognize and appreciate the near unmatched talent these guys possess. Thank you MAProductions.
I just love this reaction. Marco, you made me laugh everytime your face hit the microphone. Defeated, hahaha. Bravo! Can't wait for you to hear the latest one. And I hope you'll do this kind of analysis every time. By!
Thank you guys SO much for being disciplined enough to listen to the entire song FIRST without interrupting the song, then go back and provide your opinion and feedback. Great job guys!
Love your reactions to Home Free but there is a 6th man of Home Free who needs to be thanked and that is Darren Rust their producer who also arranged this and does a lot of their arrangements.

🤣🤣🤣 Ali was like...”Ok....I’ll go back real quick”. 😂😂😂
I'm not sure who arranged this, but it's pretty likely this is another of Darren Rust's arrangements. He does a lot of HF's arrangements and the guys said Darren is practically their 6th member. I love the harmonies in this and how they showcase all 4 voices. (Unfortunately, Adam doesn't feel confident enough to sing lead, but perhaps he could start taking singing lessons, just like Kevin from PTX, and then we might be getting another great lead voice since he definitely sounds great and has a lot of potential. Imo, he just needs a confidence boost, just like Kevin, whose singing voice turned out to be really amazing once he'd got more confident.) I also wholeheartedly agree that these 5 voices were meant to sing together. I mean, with a lot of practice, all good voices can end up sounding great together, but I still believe that there are voices which create pure magic when singing together. To me, such voices are Simon & Garfunkel, Peter Hollens & Tim Foust, and all the voices in HF.

@@joeycrolius8446: I'm sorry, but while I do like PTX (they're my second favourite a cappella group), to me, they don't belong to the same group as the voices I mentioned. It's just a matter of a personal preference.

@@Husitka Totally respectable opinion! Personally, i've grown up with PTX so I might be a bit biased haha. Now I do 100% agree with you that HF is one of the top singing groups there is right now and they for sure don't get enough credit for what they do. But I think given where PTX has gotten to ( by themselves) they cant be excluded from being one of the most impressive groups in the past several years. None of this was meant to offend, or anything like that. Just a friendly discussion :D
@Husitka

@@joeycrolius8446: PTX was actually the group that introduced me to what I call modern a cappella. If it hadn't been for them, I might not have discovered HF. I know PTX are incredibly talented, great vocalists and hard-working. But once I've heard HF, I immediately liked them more than PTX. I know it's a combination of the songs they focus on and their individual voices, but like I said, it's just a matter of a personal preference, and I'm not taking anything away from PTX. I know there are people who prefer PTX to HF, and that's perfectly ok. I just mentioned voices that affect me personally more than others.
Been waiting for you fellas to do another HF reaction. I like your real appreciation! Good, solid reactions!
Glad to see you gents reacting to Home Free again.
Can I just say how precious you two men are to us Home Fries? Watching your reactions is like watching your kids get their first Grammy or CMA award (any day now!) We are all wowed by their talent and to another degree by what truly fine young men they are too. Marco -- you always wear your heart on your sleeve and we often see those tears in your eyes and now the strong, silent Ali too? His eyes were a tad wet -- there is video proof ;*)) You guys are the best and we are grateful for the time and attention you put into all of your videos
There’s just no one else like Home Free. Amazing. I Loved listening to this with you guys because I hear and appreciate so much more when I get your reaction! You guys are great!
You guys make another great point here! The voices in the middle, between the tenors and bass, are so important in a cappella. They're the glue that holds it all together, ne?
cant wait to you guys get to there cover of boys 2 men!!!
it's been half a year... and I'm still listening to this whenever possible... and I still get the goosebumps
I Loved your reaction to this video!!!!
I cannot wait for you to hear their Boyz 2 Men - End iof the Road cover.. It is unbelievable. Yes, you are right, it is Scottish.
The chord spread at 7:18 is absolutely sick! Rare and full of pathos!

The absolute pinnacle of harmony in that moment. The breadth of the harmonies in that part were so full and so wide it blew my mind.
They never stop impressing us at all. Check out dive bar saints. It's got a pretty good "kick-back" vibe throughout. Chance does the lead in that one.
Marco they did their ooooo's just right. The arrangement was really good on this. They always make it like their own and it was good ear candy. Chance - before he joined Home Free, he was in another group as the bass but filled Chris Rupp's baritone position in Home Free and I believe it was a good choice too. He also has good range and can step into the bass if Tim is singing. I'm going to go back and look at your Game of Thrones reactions because I was late in viewing, but I'm into season 3 and love it and I'm a big geek too.
Was totally waiting for your reaction of this song!! Home free is amazing , so much talent - I knew you would love it.
You made my day. You REALLY understand what you heard. Not many reactors have any idea how wondrous this is.
So many small things. Choices of what to do, what not to do, attack and release of notes, dynamics. Just wonderful.
That was definitely worth the wait! Love to seeing you,Marco, squirm, but I understand why you do! Thanks for your Reaction you two! I really appreciate your reactions!
I don’t know how I missed this one. Listened to your reaction and then the video myself so I could blow it up more. Miss you guys. Loved that you played through twice!
Tim always says about Chance "we are sure happy he didn't go with Pentatonix " they all are amazing and just keep getting better! Thanks for a great fun reaction!
The vulnerability of the arrangement truly shows that these guys are no joke when it comes to their musicality. Knowing the lyrics is one thing, but performing it is another and this is where you'll get the hearts of your listeners, so a big kudos to Home Free, being pure talent to the bone. PS: I do hope they'll go international. They deserve more attention than they have now.

I was blown away by Home Free doing a Boy II Men song. I lost count of how many times I have watched this video of Home Free doing this song here
As others have said, check out HF's cover of Boys II Men's "End of the Road"...Rob may surprise you...we see a different side to him. He killed it! These guys...their talent...it's breathtaking. Thank you guys for reacting to HF again. It's been a while. 💗💗 to you guys.
Welcome back, Happy New Year! LOL
Didn't realize I'm the 200th comment for this, but the group just uploaded a video that you should check out sometime: why does it have to be, originally done by restless heart. Got a very catchy beat, good blend of harmonies, and Tim's bass line is awesome.
Just a little tid bit of info. Chance was asked very recently on a FB or Instagram live (can’t remember which) who was the lower bass, him or Tim? He said they are actually the same for chest voice low but Tim has tricks to get lower than him once out of the chest voice. The ranges of these guys, all of them, are ridiculous.
Great reaction as always, boys😊
FYI guys : is a Scots-language poem written by Robert Burns in 1788, The poem's Scots title may be translated into standard English as "old long since" or, more idiomatically, "long long ago", "days gone by", or "old times". Consequently, "For auld lang syne", as it appears in the first line of the chorus, might be loosely translated as "for the sake of old times".
I love the Guy on the Lefts Reaction, he gets So Emotional but, That is how this song should make you feel "Emotional", Tim's Lower Register Carries Throughout, Austin and Rob's Lead and Mid Vocals are Pure Velvet and the whole Composition is Honey in the Ears, the Simple "oo" vowel links and the Step up from Austin while Rob is singing, while Chance's Simple Run at the End with the Dolby like Crescendo, Brought Tears to my Eyes, So Thank you Home Free, this Composition Was Perfect and Holy and Beautiful, Thanks for the Awesome Reaction Video "MAProductions"
Oh wait till u watch rob in the newest one, a boys to men song.

Of all of your Home Free reactions, this by far my favorite!! Thank you for going back and replaying the parts that impressed you and explaining why. I don’t have your musical knowledge, so hearing your analysis of the various high points helps me to understand just what it is about Home Free that is so amazing.

@@drieuxkoeppel4157 thank you! I've heard it sung in Scottish and it is beautiful! I dinna know Robert Burns penned it.
I listened to it 5 times and I think I was able to trace Adam about half the time, which isn't bad for someone purely singing harmony. Quite often he was holding down the fifth or the octave in those added and inverted chords.
I agree with all the other comments about End of the Road. I'd like to thin that Shawn Stockman, who liked them so much on The Sing Off, is pretty puffed up right now. Rob will knock your socks off. Thanks guys! Loved your reaction for this one, and your "normal" reactions are pretty hard to beat. ^_^
I think that high note while Chance was singing was either Austin or Adam Rupp. Adam can sing high tenor as well. :)
Asked you guys to do this one in a live chat! Knew it would blow you over! I think this is the best video showing their vocal perfection.
“Auld Lang Syne” is a famous poem by Scottish Poet, Robert Burns. It was written in 1788. The English-speaking world sings it at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auld_Lang_Syne?wprov=sfti1
Guys, I put this song onto a CD and played over my subwoofers in my vehicle. That very 1st note that you think you hear with Chance is actually his 2nd note. There's a lower pickup note just before that. It's low enough that my Skullcandy headphones couldn't hit it. Only when I put it thru my subs was I able to hear it. This entire song sounds incredible.
With Adam Rupp singing the middle range part it frees up Chance to drop down and Harmonize with Tim. Spectacular!
I've been a Home Free fan for quite awhile and finally got to see them perform live at the Florida Theatre in Jacksonville in December. They had recently recorded this song and added it to their show as an encore performance. The acoustics at this old theatre are amazing and Home Free did it not only acapella but with no mics... no amplification. After about the first 10 seconds you could have heard a pin drop in that theater. No whispers, no one shuffling to leave early, just their voices resonating throughout the theatre. Recordings can't do them justice, you have to see them luve.
Chance is a bass ! He moves around a lot in these songs. They all can beatbox and cover for each other. Tim has six octaves and has made a doo wop album- all the voices are him. It’s unreal. Lots of vids! Love watching your love of harmonics!
This is what I'll be listening to on New Year's Eve! If Home Free rings out the old and rings in the new, 2021 has to be better!!! 💙
Mr Beatbox adds a lot to this. I'm sure he's responsible for some of those ohs and ahs your raving over. Two bass lines puts this one over the top for me.
Love watching your Home Free reactions!
I love that look when Tim kicked in with those first low nights! LOL That last part reminded me of when Abigail (almost two years old) hears one of their songs: "Again!" Glad you got to hear the end, Marco. ;-) Then...AGAIN! Thank you! \0/ I think you were the first one, Marco, that I've heard mentioning Austin's upward soaring starting just after 6:25. It complements everything, yet it's so much in the background, that it can be totally missed, under Rob's wonderful solo right there. Good ears, sir! You mentioned "all four parts," which left me (as usual) wishing that Adam would take (not get...they try to give him one, but he refuses) a solo from time to time. However, at 7:20, I'm PRETTY sure it's actually Adam hitting Austin's high note from the same phrase, before, when Rob was doing the solo (at the word"take," and then through the next phrase). It COULD be Rob there, but I don't think so. I do know that Adam can actually go almost as low as Tim, and pretty nearly as high as Austin, and he can sit right in there, quite easily, with Chance or Rob...either one. He simply chooses to harmonize instead of"solo-ize." ;-) Thanks for another wonderful Home Free reaction. I can hardly wait until you get to "End of the Road."
Don't apologize man. I love your reactions and your detailed, educated analysis. Keep up the great work. God bless. :D
Love the analysis. Thanks for pointing out the special moments.
Oh man, the fact that you catch those details like Austins hight background... That is why your videos shine!
Wait til ya see them do 'End of the Road' /grin
I love the way you get them.
Love your new format, very nice. Home Free is just Amazing !!!
Their impeccable attack and release is amazing. And the use of silence in the phrasing (" we'll take a cup ... of kindness) is wonderful and rare.
First you two are awesome in your reactions..Home Free is the apex...and yeah check out the new "End of the Road"...rob is a beast
"Just eargasms over & over". Perfect As much as I loved Home Free when it included Chris Rupp, I really truly believe they are even better with Adam Chance. His ability to harmonize in the bass just adds another gorgeous level to this masterful group of young men.
Hi guys. I saw them on the 30th of December, and they ended with this song. It's so moving!!! Really hard not to sing with them. Did you know that Chance was in an Acapella group that was on "The Sing-Off" season 2? Thanx, Mindy
Haha I just love seeing y'all faces whenever you guys watch HF😍 Next: End of the road please
You guys notice some amazing, unique things, like that bass harmonizing, that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. I really like your reactions for that! :) Like when you pointed out Mitch covering the highest part of Matt's solo in PTX's Sound of Silence. It really enriches my experience of the song every time I listen to it from then on.
How many times can I like this?????
Absolutely love your reaction. I’m sure you’re not the only one that had to rewatch that immediately. They are really good at what they do!
Reaction at 1:11. Already starting to comment on how good it is, then Tim opens his mouth and it's like a warm blanket on a cold night wrapping itself around you.
It’s an old Scottish saying, meaning “ for old times sake “ The song is sung in many places for New Year’s Eve !
The Flute-like tenor voice heard on the third & fourth notes near the end I believe is the tenor voice of Adam Rupp. He doesn't sing nearly enough, but listen to the live version of "Don't it Feel Good?" and you'll hear him taking a similar note placement before he takes over beat-boxing in the second verse.
wowww.. thats only i can say.. i like the harmony so much.. its perfect
First of all guys I want to say that I love your reaction videos. I was just thinking and don't kill me because I don't actually know the different parts in a quartet, but It seems to me that most quartets have a base, baritone, tenor and maybe soprano. I believe what makes Home Free so much different is the fact that Tim has a five octave range and can sing anywhere. Chance also has that baritone and base. Rob does baritone and tenor, and then Austin can do tenor and soprano. Add Adam to that and I'm not exactly what range he has singing but it's quite impressive. I think what makes them so different as a group is the fact that most quartets stick to each person doing just their part. These guys however can mix it up and they're really all singing melody, only with harmonies which gives them amazing flexibility in singing parts only with the melody. Does that make sense or am I all wet?
