Perfect intro to Angelina, back to back no less. I had seen her Norway's Got Talent performances many years ago but the Bohemian Rhapsody one continues to evoke tremendous emotion - stunning really A real gift to be shared, enjoyed and appreciated

The first performance she was 9. You are exactly right. To the musicians she has always been The Boss. She does all her arraignments. Cece Dover says it best. "She creates an intimate environment. An environment where one remains silent and enthralled listening to her." When you hear the 130 covers she has done you will consider them new songs, as she brings so much more emotion than the original artists. I don´t like that term at all, but Angelina Jordan IS a Superstar. A musical prodigy, a talent i haven´t seen and heard in decades. As soon as the music starts and she begins to sing, instant Goosebumps. Yes, she is THAT good. Btw, there is a beautiful reason why she always performs barefoot.

She won Norway’s got talent at the age of seven she sang Billie Holiday song gloomy Sunday beautifully She also did a cover on back to Black by any Winehouse/Angelina Jordan cover did it fantastically to change the lyrics but respect the song one of my favorite favorite favorite ☝️

The calmness, yes, you hit the nail on the head. I think it comes from Angelina's pure confidence combined with a humility that is disarming.

Don't know how many times I have watched this video of her. It gets me exactly the same every time. Forget the age of her. This is a good a performance of this song as it gets...full stop

Sabina many thanks for coming to Angelina's world after I subscribed to you and persisted with my invitations to have you step out of Dimash's world. While Dimash can hit notes that don't exist on the keyboard, Angelina makes you FEEL the music far more than any other vocalist. While ALL other vocalists rely on life experiences to convey emotion, Angelina was born with that talent and therefore stands ALONE. SABINA you made great observations about the type of person Angelina is. As talented as she is, she is an even better human being. Here is the story why she always performs barefoot. At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina befriended this girl who was wearing soiled clothing and no shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina so moved by the poor girl, took off her favorite sea green ankle boots and gave them to the poor shoeless girl. Angelina promised the girl she would perform barefoot until every child on Earth has shoes. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.

She was 7 when she first auditioned for NGT and 8 when she won. Then 9 when she paid homage to the originator of I Put a Spell on You - Screaming Jay Hawkins. That's his likeness on the candle at the beginning. There are some youtube videos of his outre' performances in the 1950s-60s or so. She has performed this song since but not in this manner, providently for her voice. When the front row of the AGT audience is shown several times, that is her family, grandmother, ...I think it's her mother next, then her younger sister, then her uncle/manager. Jazz was her grandmother's early influence on her; Angelina made her AGT Bohemian Rhapsody outfit of fabric printed with some of her grandmother's art work (more of her artwork featured in Angelina's book about why she sings barefoot and in her first video release of Million Miles). Her birthdate was Jan 10, 2006, she will be 15 in a week and a half. Depend on Rusty Shackleford's info, I'm sure he will find your reaction and chime in. She IS amazing. Great response from you. Her Grandmother made the outfit she wore on AGT. She was 9 two weeks before she recorded, I put a Spell on You. Queen was so impressed they have it put it up on their website. I cry openly every time I hear her NGT show Proformances. And yes many, many people say she relaxes them when she sings and they could listen to her endlessly.

Angelina jordan is always barefoot when she is singing. When she was about seven years old she meet a poor kid on the street who didn't have any shoes. So she gave her's shoes to the kid. And in this moment she decided to not wearing any shoes on stage until every child has shoes. She has an old soul and a beautiful heart. Everything about her is beautiful. I have followed Angelina Jordan (last name Astar) since she began. When she was very young, she travelled and saw children with no shoes. She gave her shoes to a poor child and decided to go barefoot until she could help more. Fun facts: Angelina arranges her songs, composes, and the outfit she wore was made from her grandmother's art, which was printed on fabric. Angelina is a true original, and her grandfather (Japanese and a jazz lover who recently passed away) introduced her to greats like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and other great singers. Listen to Angelina's version of "Born to Die". I had never heard the song before and I loved it. When I listened to the original singer's version of the same song, I actually knew I liked Angelina's version more. I guarantee. You will be pleasantly shocked. Angelina is absolutely special and her talents are without a doubt, God-given. Imagine a 7-year old who is not only able to sing well, but she's brilliant enough to create her own style in addition to that. It is almost impossible to imagine that. I don't think there has been another child like her in the world ever. We may never see this again in our life.

Sabina, this "I Put a Spell on You" video was not released publicly until 2016 when she was 10. But she was actually just barely 9 years old when she did this performance! She will be 15 in a few days on January 10th. You can actually find videos of her singing at the age of 6 in a professional sound studio ("Hurt," "Rolling in the Deep," and "I Who Have Nothing")! She was born in Oslo, Norway, which makes this even more incredible, since English is not even her primary language. She speaks Norwegian, Farsi (Mid-Eastern dialect; her grandmom is Iranian), English, a little Swedish (her dad is Swedish), and a little Japanese (her granddad that her new "Million Miles" song is about was Japanese). She has always sung barefooted (even in freezing outdoor weather!), and there is a wonderful, heart-melting story behind the reason why she does that. She even wrote and published a book about it at the age of nine (same year she did this "Spell" video), making her the youngest published author in Norway's history. She's helped to raise over $22 million dollars for underprivileged children and other humanitarian causes. She has a voice of liquid gold, and a heart and character of pure solid gold!

For your first reaction to Angelina, watching I Put a Spell on You is like throwing you in the deep end of the pool. It’s Angelina intentionally creating an over-the-top style in tribute to Screamin Jay Hawkins, who performed this in the 50’s in an even more over-the-top way. It’s a one-off performance for Angelina, but shows her amazing ability to cover many genres so authentically. Angelina fans lovingly refer to this performance as Angelina in beast mode. She sings straight from her heart to yours, whether she’s in a room with just an acoustic guitar or in front of thousands of fans. She is the best interpreter of lyrics I’ve ever heard, often covering songs by famous singers. As in Bohemian Rhapsody, the songs take on new life and meaning, and you realize often that Angelina has just given you your favorite version. A suggestion: watch her acoustic cover of Adele’s A Million Years Ago to hear Angelina’s beautiful low register and her ability to live the lyrics so genuinely that the original version pales in comparison. The outfit has the artwork that her Grandmother drew to illustrate the book Angelina published at age 9 about a meeting with a poor orphan girl and why she always sings barefoot to bring awareness to needy kids. She had helped raise millions for kids charities. Her Grandmother is a famous Iranian poet and painter. She played jazz for Angelina since she was an infant. She started singing at 1 1/2 years old. Angelina is said to have sewn the outfit she wore.

Dear Sabina, Angelina started studying music at 18 months. When she was 6 she was with her grandmother visiting another country & came upon a homeless girl trying to make some money in the street who had no shoes, The girl complimented Angelina's shoes, which were her favorite pair. Angelina took her shoes off & gave them to the girl & vowed to always perform barefoot until every child in the world has shoes. She also recorded her first song, I Who Have Nothing at 6. She actually recorded I Put A Spell On You in 2015 just after she turned 9 on January 10th but it wasn't released until 2016. As far as her outfit that you mentioned, It is her grandmother artist's art transferred to fabric then Angelina used it to make the outfit like she makes all of her own clothes. She also does her own musical arrangements.(That is what she was doing with the pen before the first song). The Million Miles song you mentioned is her first song since signing with Republic Records. It is a tribute to her grandfather that passed away recently. The music school in Norway taught her everything they could so now she is attending school in Los Angeles. Then go to "Born to Die", where she is 12 and has the voice of a husky, whiskey drinking 50 year old. And, well, just have a blast with the rest of it. It's absolutely nuts. The outfit Angelina wore on AGT was made by her and her grandma. The images on the fabric are from paintings produced by her Grandma that were used to illustrate the book that Angelina wrote and published when she was 9 years old. In fact Angelina is represented in one of the paintings, the girl in the white dress. I feel that one of the aspects of Angelina is that she is a very good communicator, in the way she writes and arranges and sings songs, but also as an author of a book.

"I Put A Spell On You" was based on the original by Screamin' Jay Hawkins. That was his face on the candle she was holding at the beginning. There is a Y.Tube video of him performing it on the Arsenio Hall Show. Sabina, your a gorgeous lady and I love you also. I have been watching Angelina since she was 7 and her version of "I put a spell on you" was the most wonderful and she never sang that way again since, yet she sings fantastically! You need to hear her rendition of "unchained Melody and Lou Rawls "you'll never find" and her rendition's of Elvis songs that she does wonders on in her own style at 9 years old. Your a gorgeous woman Sabrina!

At the recording studio when she was 9, the musicians were slightly apprehensive before the performance production. Thereafter they called her "The Boss". At AGT Champions her execution of BH was so masterful that Queen gave its blessing. You noticed that her gentle introduction absolutely drew in all viewers, theatre audience and television.
