I've said this also! 👍👍👍 VP is great, but thinking about them without Eli... that would be some biiig shoes to fill for any replacement. He carries so much in many of their songs.

He'd give Myles Kennedy a run for his money

It's really easy to get stuck on Geoff's bass notes, but honestly I was more blown away by the higher voices in this one. The harmonies were on point!!

I concur. Most people get sucked into, tripped up by the lower notes of a bass vocalist 'cause it isn't something that you hear often, like you would with singers with higher notes in various genres. I also think reactors tend to overreact and over exaggerate their reactions, when they know full well what the vocalists range is. A person can have their favourite group member, but it really irks me when they solely focus on just the single member, i.e Geoff. Both the tenors and baritone really set the tone, and the harmonies were just amazing, with the bass and percussion anchoring and driving the song forward.

@@samuelmncedisi1065 to be fair, I’ve followed Voiceplay since 2015 and I still freak out when anyone does anything impressive or hard, even though I relatively know their voices and ranges. 😂 something about them just makes me freak out.

@@samuelmncedisi1065 yea, I definitely agree, as a hardcore geoff fan, I STILL manage to notice all impressive vocals, my first listen I notice strong bass notes and notes that sound different then normal. I can’t help but appreciate ALL of them. That’s also kinda why I love it when reactors go back and even listen a second time to catch more stuff.

Eli's evil twin picked the lock and escaped from where they had him locked down since My Mother Told Me. He was incredible and his voice and range is out of this world.

This is Geoff's very best arrangement ever, imo! 🤯. I love the way Cesar starts a line and Eli or Jose finishes it. Eli is amazing here. Well, everybody is amazing! 🔥🏴‍☠️🤯💖🔥

Congrats on being probably the only reviewer I've seen who was coherent at the end of that. Qofy took some time to recover, and Dennis didn't even try. A few other guys basically got out that their brains were now completely scrambled. The way this piece ends, words like 'cinematic', and 'epic' come to mind, because of how the tension and the harmonies and the complete wall of sounds builds to become something absolutely monumental in scope. I don't know how they exceed what sounds 5 people should be capable of making, but that song ended on a full orchestral chord.

Your fiancee is going to absolutely die with this one! This one's so intense! I love when Eli starts belting it out! He has this tone that is perfect for this. ❤

Just pure awesomeness. This is why they are simply one of the top three acapella groups, hands down.

As I said before I don't think anyone can top this. It's the best thing I've heard in a long time!

Geoff's slide up at 6:38 was actually unbelievable. Not that the arrangement and performance weren't also unbelievable.... but that slide!!!

You know, I absolutely do LOOOVE Geoff's bass notes. I do. I can melt to them ALLL day and never get tired of it! Yes, total fan girl. LOL. BUT!! The higher voices in this one were AMAZING! ALL of them blended together beautifully here. Their voices complimented each other perfectly, and they all got to shine and shared the spotlight beautifully. I love this group BECAUSE all of their voices get featured and are allowed to shine. This piece was another wonderful example of their work. They are just amazing, ALL of them. Their voices work together SO well, and the arrangements are absolutely an art form.

I'm surprised you didn't reach for your pillow when Geoff did his two octave rise. I think you were too destroyed by then to make note 🤣

Yes, he was not looking at the screen (his eyes were closed in ecstacy I think! HaHa) so he didn't catch it!

This is a performance so epic that becomes iconic and causes reactors to respond in a manner that makes them appear to be having seizures. lol I'm quite sure my facial reaction was a mirror image of yours because the power of the vocals and perfectly timed lighting FX blasted that song through my bones! Geoff Castellucci going Sub-Bass is out of this world; WOW!! Absolute perfection in everything involved with this production..... Grammy worthy!!

This is so outstanding. I totally agree with what you said about Cesar’s voice, he’s fitting in so nicely. Everyone sounds so good! This is definitely going in my top 10.

The bass is what really pulled this together, with the amazing harmonies a true masterpiece. But the bass is what gave it that creepy vibe.

The costumes, the lighting, the makeup, the way they looked at you, the whole atmosphere on top of the mesmerizing vocals made this video on point, perfection. When Home Free took the pirate motif about 5 months ago (Sea Shanty Medley) it was fun and light hearted, in pirate themed cosplay (Tim was Jack Sparrow with a tankard of beer and Austin was waving around a sword and looking slightly goofy) and I love it. But this...with the outfits and the makeup (scars and dirty skin and Cesar's damaged eye), and the intensity in their gazes, they guys looked like they could have been transported straight from one of the Pirates of the Caribbean ships. An instant favorite already played a good 2 dozen times (video and audio) in 2 days. And I certainly loved your reaction to it. At least you stuck around and didn't run off in shock like some. I guess the pirates can capture without a kill.

They went 'All In'......theatricality speaking......run on all cylinders and go for it......THEY DID!!!

Geoff did an amazing job with the arrangement of this.

Their evil twins have come out, but they absolutely crushed it!

This one broke Qofy and Dennis. You need to watch their reactions.

Loved your reaction, you made me laugh out loud when the song ended and you said "Oh Heavens" lol. They outdid themselves on this one and this is my new favourite. I keep saying that on every VP song but this one is something else. Geoff's arrangement here was.... there aren't enough words....

VoicePlay is never ever NOT GOOD! Halloween year-round. Geoff is the best pirate ever. Davy Jones Locker voice. My money was well spent on this one and the one they haven't released yet.

This is a total rip-off of another post, but if singing groups were in high school, PTX would the be student council, VoicePlay would be the theatre geeks, HomeFree would be hosting a tailgate party in the parking lot, and Voctave woiuld the music faculty of the local university. Love them all!

The guy in white clothing is their newest member, Cesar. The guy with the fabulous beard is Jose - he's a guest artist for this song. He sings tenor with Rockapella normally.
