Mom replied, "they were happy tears cuz my daughter fulfilled one of her dreams and they were also sad tears cuz that's when I realized that I just lost my daughter to the world,, But she was totally wrong on that,, she didn't loose her daughter to the world instead the world became part of the family,, 👣🌬🌎

Young child who speaks three languages plays four instruments sings as no other child ever has , practices four to six hours per day of her own volition. Driven, obsessive. Mother trying to slow her down to no avail as Angelina wants more. In after school program taking music and music theory lessons along with learning piano, violin and flute. Speaking Norwegian, Persian and English fluently. Also learning to paint, recording her activities in her diary. What can be said? Prodigy, genius as she is choosing her own music. Arranging the songs and cajoling the band members to do it her way. By the way she is very good at math. A wonderment of the universe, and yes she is adorable. She knows where she is going and why. At six she was thinking and recording adult thoughts and wondering about the why’s of life. She is on a mission and is aware of its meaning. She had already stated it a year earlier.

Omer the youngest of the judges became friends of AJ's family and AJ he recently introduced her singing to his very long time friend Michael Jackson's mother. There is a recent video of him talking to an interviewer about his relationship to AJ's family.

She told once, Billie Holiday found her one night, when she was surfing for new jazz songs with the tablet of her mother. Her mother wasn't happy with this sad song, but Angelina loves the Melody. She delivers a beautiful version of this notorious suicide Song 💞

Judge asking: ”Do you know what the song is about” being aware that the Billie Holliday recording was banned from several radio stations (I think BBC was one of them) since the song reportedly caused people to commit suicide. Quite a song for a seven year old to audition with!

Angelina immersed herself in KZread video's of these Icons starting at 3-4 yrs old guided by her Iranian Grandmother Mery Zamani an artist and child prodigy in her own right. Her first Idol was Billie Holliday who she started with on her journey to the stage at Norway's Got Talent. She opened with 'Gloomy Sunday' which she inhabited and absolutely infused Billie into the song. The similarities are incredible. She followed with another Billie classic singing 'I'm a Fool to Want You' acapella pitch perfect and infused with the same Billie Holiday essence. I've heard this performance backed by the original music and it's like Billie Holiday was like Billie was singing through a child voice. A beautiful child voice. This is an Iconic performance and will alway be Iconic. Angelina has on her own from early on at 6 or 7 yrs old reintroduced what I believe will be a whole new Jazz Era and redefined by this young phenom and prodigy. That is astounding! And she is just 16 years old... That is unfathomable!... Oh Lord... what is coming the world is not prepared for but we as fans have been on the edge of our seats and will remain there as we wait. No hurry. We want Angelina to do it her way when she is ready. She has already established her proficiency and incredible work ethic in this endeavor guided by an incredible family and professional support now surrounding her. We know Angelina will continue to amaze! We will be here to experience and cherish it for as long as we live.... and I am praying for many more years for myself to enjoy it till the end of my days... After this round there was a break of several months then she comes back to kill 'Bang Bang' and 'Summertime' in the later rounds which sealed her win on the show, both definitely worth a watch.

I really appreciate your analysis of this phenomenal performance by Angelina. Do you know that she speaks several languages. I do not know this from personal experience, but many have pointed this out. There is an explanation: Her father is Swedish, her grandmother is from Iran and her grandfather was from Japan. Sara, Angelina's mother, lived for a time in Japan with her parents. Angelina was born in Norway but has spent part of her upbringing in the United States. Etc .... She has thus heard / practiced the following languages ​​during her upbringing: Norwegian, Swedish, English, Farsi, A little Japanese.

Yes, here in Norway we speak norwegian - and sami language what I do besides of norwegian.

Angelina doesn't do big moments or special effects. She just sings the song like it is supposed to be sung. If the song needs a big moment she'll give it a big moment. Otherwise she'll do whatever makes the song perfect. Listen to her on the rooftop singing Every Time We Say Goodbye and you'll see what I mean. No bells or whistles but no one could sing it any better.

I'm a very old [ almost ancient ] jazz fan. I've watched most of her videos. This was maybe the third one I watched. She sang with such fearless confidence and style it brought tears to my eyes.She had a real sense of who she was, what she wanted to do and how to do it, not in an arrogant way but, like " this is me folks".....gave you a clear inkling of things to come,

This blew me away when I first saw it. Even now it amazes me. Most Europeans also learn English while in school. The blonde woman in the back is her mother. Her next piece in the competition was another Billie Holiday----I'm a Fool to Want You, sung without any accompaniment, which showed her perfect pitch, etc. Check it out. The next song was "Bang Bang" and her last song was another jazz piece, the well known "Summertime." She won that competition (right after turning 8) with 46% of the vote! 💜

If you've never heard Billie Holiday sing this you should. Then you will blown away how much Angelina sounds like Billie.

A good 80% of Swedes and Norwegians are fluent in English, and Angelina grew up bilingual, plus a good helping of Iranian, and more

This is the song that she sang at 7 and had people believing that Billie Holiday, the original artist who performed it, was reincarnated into this little girl. If you listen to them both for comparison, you will believe one singer did both versions. Angelina has proved through the ensuing years that she is a 'vocal chameleon', able to emulate the vocals of many A-List singers in different genres of music.
