Singapore to Thailand on a motorcycle in 13hours! (Part 1)
I rode up overnight to Hatyai from Singapore on my bike.
I learnt many lessons from my first touring trip up north, I'll definitely do it again! Part 1 is about the journey up to Hatyai, and Part 2 will be the exploration of Hatyai during Songkran (I had a high fever so plans had to be changed).

Not anytime soon, but its quite straightforward though! You have to get the forms ready to travel up to thailand, i went to a shop at Changlun (there are many shops that provide this 1 stop service). After that its just a ride up to the border. There are signages, and the people are very helpful to show you where do you have to go. All part of the adventure! There are other channels to show you the exact routes to take in the borders crossings.

Hi there, apologies for the late reply. With regards to breakdowns/incidents with the bike, I got a contact from a friend. You can find 'Ipin GTR Bike Towing' on facebook, they cover towing from Malaysia to Thailand. For contingencies and monitoring purposes (I like to cover all my bases), I send my live location to a group of friend on whatsapp, and did check-ins with them whenever I stop for a break, or for refueling. Hope this helps!

Hi there, - I started my journey at approximately 2230hrs. - The insurance shop isnt open 24hours, you can google 'Naluri Aman Sdn Bhd' to find out their updated operating hours. - I reached the 'duty-free' stop to do up the papers at around 1030hrs the next day. - I paid for my petrol using cash. I had to go to the counter and pay a deposit before they will allow you to pump. I'm not sure about cards though. Glad you enjoyed the video, part 2 is up!

@justexploringlah
Жыл бұрын
Hi there, an advice I got from many experience riders is to include 'closed parking' for your bike in your consideration for booking your accommodation. Examples are private parking, or gated parking with guards. I usually ask my friends for recommendation on the accommodations =) I always 'dirty' my bike cover in hopes that people will avoid going near it. hahaha. Another is to park in lighted areas, and within line of sight of your activity (example, drinking at a café). Exercise caution in your parking, and ride safe!
@jackt1400

I will usually find some reputable hotels with good parking spot, it will never be 100% safe, but better than parking my bike along road sides.
