Hi, I’m Sammie from the UK, 2021 got off to a scary start after i became unwell, I didn’t know what was wrong, I lost so much weight and became very weak, I was diagnosed in April and I’m happy to say my condition is now controlled and I’m in recovery! So this leads to one of my favourite memories of 2021, I have a small second bedroom in my flat, that has been a storage room forever, my partner surprised me with a total makeover! with recovery exercise equipment, reading nook and DIY station. It’s my favourite place, it makes me smile every day and I feel so lucky to have my partner. My number one goal for 2022 was to get back to swimming and I started yesterday! My city was in lockdown for all of 2020, I wasn’t able to see my family at Christmas and so my parents surprised me with a short, but much needed, 4 day visit over Easter. I still haven’t seen my sister for over 2yrs and I’m hoping I can visit me family soon! My only New Years resolution is to seek happiness! I adopted the minimalist lifestyle during the pandemic when I had very little income, I chose to focus on what really made me happy instead. Now I’m finding that peace of mind is really quite simple for me if I focus on doing the things I love and leave everything else aside. Finding joy and happiness in everyday, even the ones where my mental health isn’t so great, could be as simple as watching my favourite KZread videos, having a chocolate treat for breakfast or getting to bed before 9pm! 2022 for me is going to be filled with these small but enjoyable pieces of happiness ♥️ I loved this vlog so much Hill! A resolution I have for 2022 is to start working out a little again. It's been hard to find activities that don't get shut down because of covid except running, which I hate haha (sorry Pat). Hi, I'm Sofia from Brazil! I just wanted to say first that I absolutely love your videos and aesthetic. Sending much love from the other side of the ocean! By the end of 2020 my grandma fell very ill and gave us a big scare, she went from not remembering small things to not even being able to eat by herself and going to an ICU in the middle of the covid pandemic. We didn't think she would resist the incoming 2021. But she did, and she's doing even better now with proper medication and care! So her recovery is by far my favorite memory of 2021. Because of the scare she gave us, I completely failed my exams and could not get into the university I wanted in 2021, but this year I am very proud to say I finally got in! So I'm very excited for what 2022 has in store for me!

My 2021 actually comprised of a small milestone which means a lot to me. From experiencing the downfall to having depression in 2020 until I picked up myself from broken pieces in 2021, it seems to be a rollercoaster journey to me. Luckily my supportive brother doesn’t give up on me and keep encouraging me to start on something new. And so I tried. I started a small online dessert shop. Being a self taught baker and first time business owner (and also the only worker), I wasn’t the best, and still learning as I go, I never thought I could come this far. I'm Jay from Poland! My favorite 2021 moment was summer vacation trip with my mom, brother and boyfriend. We rarely are lucky with weather when we go on vacation, but this one was perfect, we had a blast and were really refreshed and relaxed afterwards. As for my 2022 resolution I took it upon myself to go for a walk everyday, no matter the weather or temperature. It's going great so far, I hope I can keep it up.

I’m glad you could go to see your family. I’m a Spanish living in Japan and it’s been already two years without seeing my family, so I know how it feels to live in a foreign and far place from home.
