Doesn't matter how many times i watch this, her passion, her commitment to evert word, every emphasis -it meant a stack to her. Me too - obviously for different reasons. But what a truly brilliant artist we have lost far too early, and yet another soul not understood by the media. She didn't conform. Never would have. So she was derided and de-valued. May many people look inside themselves and hold their heads in shame. YOU contributed. Fuckers.

This to me is her defininitive song. She didn't write it, but she sang it like crazy. RIP to one of the greats.

I think it says a lot about Sinead as an artist that she was a truly brilliant songwriter, but at the same time delivered some of her most powerful performances interpreting other people's songs. She carried such an extraordinary depth of emotion in her; in the end it seems more emotion than one person could bear. Her loss is still truly painful.

There are few who compare. She is amazing and her music touches me deeply. I was very ill b4 i had a kidney transplant and ‘8 Good Reasons’ (both song and video) gave hope and strength to go on.

I've loved the John Grant version for some years, and I've loved Sinead's voice for decades. It is only now I've found they combined.

"Why don't you bore the shit out of somebody else??" I keep coming back to this version time and time again. She really gave this song her everything. I was listening to her everyday just before her death. It's really had a huge impact on me. If she couldn't make it, it makes me wonder who the hell can?

i hope Sinéad knows how much she's loved and appreciated by her true fans all over the world.I love her anger that she puts in into this song🙏OMG that smile is gold😘

I wish I had heard more of her music when she was alive, I was 6 when NC2U came out so even though I heard it I couldn’t take it in and the only 3 songs I heard was thief of your heart, NC2U and emperor’s new clothes. Now after her death I’ve gone searching and she had so many great songs and what a beautiful smile. You are missed 🤍
