She wasn’t crazy or mentally ill she was wounded and trying to heal from horrific abuse by her mom the person who was suppose to protect her. And then she was kicked around by society and treated so unfairly. She was a beautiful soul. She didn’t deserve to be treated this way. I know she’s with her son now living in eternity.❤

Your mental health can be severely compromised by living life. It was plainly obvious that she struggled with various conditions.

George has a unique way of building trust, asking the hard questions in a way that doesn't put the person on the defensive, and without making the interview about himself, which too many hosts tend to do. Fine balancing of breezy questions with hard hitting ones, and the result is a great conversation, rather than interview. George is the only one (of interviewers) who was respectful of Sinead. Seeing her this way makes me love her more than ever. God bless her, her family and those who miss her terribly.

I wonder to what extent the name of the disorder matters…I suppose it does in terms of treatment, but there’s a danger of getting hung up on the label. Whatever it was she seemed to be up and down - she must have been incredibly strong willed to make it through so much; it seems so messy from the outside, but who really knows. @@user-bp6gp2rc1v true. Everyone is different. I think she was brave but at times she took on too much I believe. The documentary on her is amazing in that regard. I remember hearing about her ripping up the picture of the pope and myself and many others thought (in my Friend group) it was a little attention seeking. How ignorant we were. She knew things. But she martyred herself really over it. It was almost too much to bear for a single person. Poor girl. That start of the documentary and it’s end is trielt heartbreaking.

People were out to paint her as a bad guy bc she didn’t conform to conventional beauty standards and was a protest singer as opposed to a pop star. I think she has more integrity than most and to me she’s a complete hero. Not to mention a phenomenal singer. You were the bravest wounded soldier Sinead. 😢. While I couldn't agree with her views and analysis, I fully understand she tried the best to be a better human after facing such evil , at the hands of a mother itself to begin with.

She wasn't misunderstood. She was misrepresented by the press. I was 20 years old when she came out with Nothing compares to you and hit me hard. If you you care about what she had to say. Go back and listen to her words.

The good thing about the internet is that we can bypass the music industry and listen to real talent.Sinead I might not see everything in the same light politically but you are definitely a modern Grace O'Malley.

Its a shame that Sinead is no longer with us,she spoek truth to power on so many things and espcially more and more so on mental health and about what got labelled bipolar for her was simply her complex trauma from childhood and all the other shit she had to endure thorughout her career and life being called "crazy"by the press and such like. She was out in lithium for years by psychiatrists which did her absolutely no good at all and was probably toxic like many of the psych meds which are not meant to be taken long term and as a cure all but should be offred in combination with other forms of support and therapy but are often handed out like candy whislt people are told to go away and get on with it. It is sad she is no longer here for so many reasons but I just hope that people will think about others who they see and are so quick to label as mad or crazy...etc and think about what they are saying and what our society still refuses to see all too often its own ills and sickness and then it has the audacity to label others crazy",people like Sinead.

Adeus minha guerreira. 🙏🕊

Regardless if she is beautiful and has a phenomenal voice, we have all have the 1st Constitution, “Freedom of Speech”, we all have that right. Right to choose our religious, have our own sexual preference, we all should have our own opinions, but at the same time be respectful. Especially, when we are in a different country... that is only asking for trouble. We all need to have respect for each other, so there will be peace.
