Sinead O'Connor: Fearless | Full Documentary |
Музыка
Singer, Activist, Icon. Sinead O’Connor is one of the most well-known singers of the 80s, well loved for her authenticity and extraordinary connection with her audience. Known for her iconic shaved head, Sinead O’Connor started her music career when she was discovered by a local drummer in Ireland. By creating emotional and soulful performances, she amazed audiences worldwide. Throughout her career, her wonderful voice powered emotional hits dealing with heartbreak, trauma, sex and politics.
But behind her iconic appearance, there was a vulnerable soul, scarred by her life’s trials.
Although her life was often surrounded by controversy, Sinead remains one of the most remarkable voices of the 80s. Her song, Nothing Compares 2 U, is one of the most stunning performances of the early 90s - Sinead’s interpretation of the song is a performance fuelled by sorrow, heartbreak, pain and vulnerability. Her battles with mental health and personal struggles became intertwined with her artistry, revealing the raw authenticity that defined her work. After her sudden passing in July of 2023, the echo of her voice will forever linger in the hearts of those who listened to her music.

Lovely to look at beautiful to listen to .
This world was not meant for one as beautiful as you 💔
She was a survivor of years of child abuse, that trauma (cPTSD), which I also believe is the cause of death, by either a triggered episode or the accelerated aging of the body that trauma causes (+20 years). And yet, she managed to stay compassionate, empathetic, brave, vulnerable, authentic, courageous and massively talented, a true believer in standing for the Holy Spirit, seeing the world and working for more than just her own personal financial gain, speaking for those without a mic who needed/wanted to be seen and heard. In totality, what remains from all she has done is nothing short of brilliant and inspirational.

The "triggered episode" was her son's suicide. Few can survive that, it was clear she wouldn't or couldnt. I think she wouldve kept going if that hadnt happened. Grief is bad enough, grief combined with guilt is hard to survive and I think all parents who have lost a child to suicide will feel guilty even when there was nothing they could do.

R.I.P. Sinead. ❤ You spoke without fear! 😘
She was a rare and gifted woman. The trials she endured gave her courage and strength. Thank you so much for this well done opportunity to be with her. RIP Angel
Sinead was so brilliant and incredible. I agree with one of the interviewiees, I've never cried so much for a stranger.

I'm the same as you. Crying for a stranger. I thought she was and is a brilliant singer I was going to Dance Parties listening to Enigma. I always would listen to her when I heard her and was blowen away by her voice and beauty. I feel extremely emotional about what she went through when we both walked on this earth. I wish for her a better life in the next realm. I hope that Sinéad son and yes mum are with her 💜🍀💜

She is very intelligent in all her interviews cannot help myself but to admire her. With all her problems still thingking others and helping.
A goddess. Thanks to the Muse's for you Sinead O'Connor. Thank you! Your voice was a message from the Universe.
I cannot begin to understand the pain of the loss of a child, but add to that her Mental Health challenges… Too, too much for one person. What an incredible human being - amazing music, and the courage to fight the status quo. RIP Sinead. I feel privileged to have known her music.

Very few people had her insight intelligence and talent at a time when society wasn’t prepared to listen to the truth major trauma she experienced led to emotional pain yet still today people think it’s ok to label her with old school stigmatised medical terms again she was a huge talent with the ability to sing from the soul few people who haven’t experienced severe diversity and pain can do no matter what your opinion Sinead is a person who will live on as a beacon of love and kindness and strength in a world all too ready to judge someone the fear and don’t understand
When I first saw this woman's face singing "Nothing compared to you" I was completely mesmerized by her beauty. I thought she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen..... Little did I know she had a personality and compassion to match. RIP Sinead rest well.
Without doubt one of the greatest losses in musical history... R.I.P. S.O. (You moved me to the very depths of my soul). May your God bless you beyond all words. Xx.
She was so great❤❤❤❤
This was very well put together, I visited Bray last month and when I was there standing in front of her house I got a sky news alert on my phone about her COD…Bray is absolutely beautiful and I can see why she loved it so much…I also went to see her mural in Dublin which was done by a spray painting artist, the video is on TikTok…She was a tortured soul, brave, courageous with an unbelievable talent…I hope your resting you sweet soul💜
Wonderful homage paid through this documentary, surprised to see a Romanian name at the top of the credits. Sinéad remains an amazing artist, an authentic human being, whose legacy should be more authenticity and honesty from all the people who realise that without these values we cannot evolve as humans. I like the message written by one of the people in the video: Rest in Power. Power to the good people like Sinéad. May we be more and more. Peaceful power to all.
I'll never forget her, never forget her story. Understand everything. Feeling her love and also the pain in every single word she sing. I'll never forget her 💖💖💖.
She never said she wouldn’t perform if the national anthem was played. She was asked if she would be OK with it being played, and she said that she would rather it not be played before her concert. Another case of the media telling lies.

A warrior till the end. Will be miss, great artist, singer and activist ❤🥰🎸🌻
Thank you so much….no one like her. Such a loss in my lifetime.
An interesting account of her life and career. I once had a poster on my bedroom wall of Sinead O'Connor when I was much younger. She was utterly stunning and hugely talented and communicated in her uniquely personal music authentic human emotions. I saw her only once live at the UEA and I'm so glad that I had that privilege. She was mesmerising. I like to think of her sitting peacefully in her chair outside her sea front home in Brey. Looking out on the Irish sea. Many thanks for posting.

The cause of everyone's death is always kept secretive. Obituaries never state what the cause of death is. Are you saying the speculation that it could be suicide is harmful to her image? I don't think so. She went through a lot of pain and suffering, and if that was her choice, then that was her choice. She wasn't Christian anyway. So that is a stigma that Christians will just have to deal with. If you would like to stop speculating, then maybe there would be no stigma.
Okay. Just one detail. There was no divorce legally, then, her parents just separated because the divorce in Ireland wasn't fully legal until around 1996. By that time, Sinéad's mother was already dead by car accident in the 80s.
Reform school wasn't the worst thing her mother used to beat her and make her repeat "I am nothing" she still loved her mother.

Turns out she died of natural causes. A broken 💔 heart
I didnt realise she died, that was kept quite, it was remarkable how she made an entire career out of doing a cover of an old Prince song, fair play, 1 hot wonders generally are gone as quickly as they come, she must have got close to 30 years out of a song she didnt write and a buzzcut, well played, great voice RIP.

Sinead continuously created music for over 35 years. She toured all over the world, and released 10 albums. Her music was featured in several movies, and her concerts were always sold out. She was hardly a one-hit wonder. Her death was reported in every media.

The song Nothing Compares 2 U wasn’t that great. It just really suited Sinead’s voice. If the song was great, it would have been a hit for Prince. It wasn’t. It was a B-side flop for him. Even after he re-did the song again years later, it was still a flop for him.

Much like what others? And what the hell has feminism got to do with it? Idiotic comment
Maybe her life would have been different. Maybe if she weren't abused as a child. Maybe if she hadn't had her son removed from her custody. Maybe if her son hadn't committed suicide. Maybe if she weren't driven by her demons. Maybe she would still be here........
She is outspoken about child abuse in church but it's all true
people are so judgmental about her. It's sad that someone famous should have to keep quiet about things going on in the world. If it were anyone who isn't famous, it wouldn't get the reactions famous people get. It's wrong in so many ways.
