It's a very good subject presented by Bala Chander garu in a fabulous way. A person who can control inner feelings will never have ups and downs in their life. All the actors performance is awesome and Jesudas Sir voice is the main oxygen of this movie. I have alomost covered Bala Chander Sir movies. My salutes to him🙏

Once again tears rolling aftr watching K.Balachander film. K.Balachander and K.Vishwanath are the one among few best directors. I love all their masterworks. Till today their films are sensational and breaking the cultural taboos of the contemporary society. Its a really a daring feet to direct such films 3 decades back.

Venkataramulu Lankadasari nenu polchadam ledu andi 😏 valla taking chala unique antunna.. evari route vallade. No vulgar dialogues,no mass/item songs, No fights too less commercial formulas. Too hard to find directors like them in this generation (may be I can say Maniratnam and GVM)

actually Radha lost it for the simple reason that her voice was dubbed by Radhika wheras Suhasini 's was her own voice...there was a strong tussle and this settled things in Suhasini's favour- else Radha wouldve won for Mudhal Mariyaathai

I think you misunderstood the movie concept. Point is they are not downplaying telegu kirtanas, rather people who think they are elites of music should take their music to common man, so that they can understand. Tamil in tamilnadu and telegu in Andhra. Music should not be restricted within few elites but should be taken to masses.

Just another illegal relationship doesnt make a man so! A womaniser is one who is going to one woman after another and is always looking to have realtionship with more women !

Its a kind of copy of megha sandhesam telugu movie little bit difference. Artists only look for understanding and love of their profession in their spouses. If not, they will flock to similar interest disregarding marriage, wife and children. ITs a wrong message in megha sandhesam and in this movie also. There is no such thing of compatibility either in marriages or even with own children. All are unique and different creation. So one has to find art in their spouse and kids also, even if they dont have same interests and hobbies. Putting down a spouse because, she has no innate interest in music or dance or whatever ....is wrong. So all artists have to reject every one that does not have same passion and interest and live in isolation? VEry wrong message. Why some unmarried girl has to be sacrificed for a man? If a married woman does the same....immediately, society in india will call her so many names and treat her like prostitute. SO this is all double standards. A woman has to put with husband and husband can do whatever he wants as wishes.

@@kmitt6172 sir..why such a long discourse on this issue....I have not justified or supported the hero or his actions.....I only said he shouldnt be called a womaniser...He may be accused of being immoral for getting into an illicit relationship or betraying his wife...that doesnt make him a womaniser.. A womaniser is habitually obsessed with women and wants to have a taste of many women...only such a person can be called so. This man has transgressed and erred because of his love for the art or even assuming he fell in love with one girl because of her love for art...that is all...He shouldnt be called a womaniser. Call him immoral...if need be !

@@kmitt6172 KB has done similar subjects too earlier...much before meghasandesam in Vellivizha ..(1972)...he handlles a similar subject wherein the hero has a very orthodox and conservative wife and gets attracted to a modern girl who suits his taste and who falls in love with him...in fact such triangular subjects that too after wedlock were normally labelled KB genre/type movies..even if another maker did it !!

They just wanted to enchash by showing such relationships. In those days in Tamilnadu, it was seen as normal to have relationships like this which were encouraged by many people of that sort. Since women were dependent on men, they used to be silent in such issues.
