When Sharon walked on the first runway and did the spooky-ooky drag with the fake blood, the whole course of the show changed. She influenced so much and you can see it in the queens after her season. Love her or not, she is a pioneer.

The only positive (or logical) thing we can think of is that there will always be pain and processes to slowly heal from that pain. Do what you have to do until you feel better. If something is not right, change it up a little until you feel better.

I wonder if alaska wishes people would stop asking about a breakup that happened years ago, cause i’m over hearing about it. I’m happy alaska seems to be doing much better now then she was before.

She even talks about their breakup in one of her songs. I don't think it bothers her so much. It's a part of her life that she needed to go through in order to get to where she is now, as she says in The T, she misses the relationship but she knows it couldn't have worked because they're better apart. I don't think she hates talking about the break up because people who hate talking about a breakup are guilty and bitter. I don't think Alaska hates the time they spent together and I think she's really grateful for Sharon, so she has no reason to look back and hate it. She's also an entertainer, she wants to be in people's thoughts, she wants to leave an impression. Part of drag is facing society and make them think about your piece no matter how positively they embrace it. She owes a lot of her fame to that relationship and breakup. She acknowledges it herself, very, very, publicly. I don't think she ever views it as "omg can you guys talk about something else" because that's literally a part of her life and her following doesn't actually talk about it all that much. For her to overreact to pretty much a dead and quiet reaction by the public (I'm trying to say no one really cares about their breakup anymore really) now would show just how unworthy she is- and she's not. She's very worthy of what she has now and she's handling this publicity (or lack thereof because literally no one but new fans care now) very, very maturely and like congenial individual. It's one reason to make this video-- so everyone knows.

+Nicole Roberts I know Alaska has taken some of Sharon's ideas, for example during the All Stars, she recycled Sharon Needle's Mae West gag from a few years ago (you can see Sharon doing the Mae West impression in one of their "Camping" episodes from a few years ago).. There is however no evidence from you that Sharon Needles has borrowed anything from Alaska, at least not in any observable obvious ways. I don't appreciate how you're trying to lessen Sharon Needles's role in influencing Alaska's stage personality ... its sneaky, its like refusing to give credit to someone by saying that the influence is both ways, thats a very disengenous and ungrateful thing to do ...

Thats is what real love is. You don't have to be in a relationship to be happy for them and wish well. Its more than infatuation.

It's amazing how almost 5 years after their split, Sharon and Alaska still talk about each other a lot and think so highly of one another. I honestly think Sharon was the love of Alaska's life and it's really hard to fully get over someone who you were madly in love with and who changed/impacted your life in so many ways. Their relationship might've been toxic, especially towards the end, but it's still sad that they didn't end up working out.

Season 4 was the first season I had ever watched of RPDR and I fell in love. I was rooting for Sharon Needles the whole time and I agree that she changed the game for everyone.

I was devastated when I heard about their break up. But we don't tolerate toxic relationship and self-preservation is very important. I'm glad their good friends and still nice to each other.

I can't believe how beautiful Alaska is out of drag, like, wow, boy, can we meet.

The one word that sprang to mind while I was watching this was grace. Justin/Alaska handled this video with absolute grace and I think it is testament to the love that they shared that she is able to sit there and reflect on their time together with appreciation and gratitude. Sad but beautiful

I'm new to drag race so the other day I was bragging about how special it is to not have seen it all and lived through the fun and excitement because I have it all to come.... The flip side is now my heart is breaking for things years after everybody else.

alaska is just proof for that everything has it's reason & sometimes things just don't work out in the first place, which can also be a good thing. but you can still end up as a winner in the end but then again winning isn't everything.

STOP i love them, it seems like it was an understanding split, and we can see how Alaska was able to find herself and refine her drag after the break up. love them❤️❤️

Alaska, your actually a really inspirational individual. You represent something so powerful, and as a huge fan of yours I’d like to say something regarding this situation. I know that despite all the hardships, you will be able to find happiness again. And that’s all that truly matters. It’s the hard things that make us stronger in life. 💕

Before Sharon and after Sharon drag race is so true. She’s the one that everyone tells me about when they talk about the show. I remember when it finally came on Canadian Netflix all my friends were saying “WATCH SEASON 4!” She is such a game changer and added something so powerful to the show. I really think that Raja laid the ground of Sharon to be appreciated and ultimately win the crown. Raja came with this unconventional avant-garde kinda drag that was met with disdain from her fellow competitors as "unpolished" and not as good as the conventional pageant drag. Sharon definitely brought something new, or more like the producers of the show, depending on who you ask 😜 But I definitely think that Raja isn't credited enough on breaking the mold on the show. Love Alaska and hope she comes back for All Winners 2!
