I met Detox, and what a gracious, beautiful person. I am so grateful to have had a minute with her. She gave me a hug, kissed me on the cheek, complimented my shoes, told me to hydrate (I almost passed out because of medical issues) and genuinely was the sweetest human being I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. I love how these little shorts are reverent of their subject matter. So much media about drag queens is campy or tongue in cheek, which is ok, but it's nice to see it approached in a more serious way.

She came to see our performance at #chezmaman in Brussels. Having Detox watching me performing was amazing and surreal. After she came to the dressing room to talk to us and she was so so so sweet! What a sweet artist so human! Love you Detox i wish all the best always ❤️

LA is where most would choose to pursue their careers but the fact that he decided to go Chicago and chose to live near her sister shows that there's peace and genuine happiness. Sometimes you don't need to look far to find that happiness. Just having your family near you is already enough.

Nim Robinson that’s not how that works in the recovery community. A relapse of any kind is just that, a relapse. Nothing wrong with it, it’s a part of recovery, but calling it anything else is untrue and damaging to long term sobriety.

I think this was posted a year ago but the entire series was made private and just made public recently.

I absolutely fell in love with Detox during AS2. She became one of my favorite queens. And controversial opinion, I think she should have won AS2. She was sooooooooooo fucking good and consistently underrated. She consistently murdered all the other queens with her run way looks and she was consistently top 3 in just about all challenges. That read you wrote you performance was EPIC!!! My favorite three are the top three of the All Stars season. I'm a recovered addict, and hearing detox talk about her/his sobriety in season 5 and his/her struggles with addiction, it felt so good to hear someone so talented and amazing like Detox could over come that. It showed me that I could do it too. I'm a little over one year sober now, but back then I was still in active addiction. ( I came late to the Rupaul's drag race game it took me some time to watch all the later seasons.) Detox really pushed me to get sober. Seeing her/him now?! WOW!! I'm 26 and have been feeling really down about never living out on my own and all that. But to see Detox doing it at a "later" age, makes me have hope for myself. That it's ok that you came late to the game of life, just do your best. I hope I can see her live one day! Love you Detox!!!!
