Simulated Mars mission brings Armenia one step closer to space
AMADEE-24, a month-long analog training mission for a future journey to Mars, wrapped up earlier this month in Armenia’s central Ararat region. Managed by the Austrian Space Forum, the mission brought six analog astronauts to Armenia to carry out an array of experiments, backed by hundreds of researchers and staff from more than two dozen countries. Participants told CivilNet the mission has been a catalyst for Armenia’s burgeoning domestic space industry, which is now setting its sights on producing its own spacesuits, supporting its own analog astronauts, and setting up the region’s first space laboratory.

Для шашлыка нужно с собой на Марс прихватить парочку курдючных баранов из апшеронского султаната.
Amen inch texn er menak mars gnaln er pakas 😂
Armenian NASA? How about Armenian employment opportunities with taxpayer funds? Armenia needs economic health, not space dreams. There are attainable goals and unattainable goals.

Armenians have been suffering the catastrophic consequences of dreaming small. Small personal dreams. Small collective dreams. And I think the video talked about the ambition being privately funded. Small thinkers can, and should, tend to their little shop and dream of their next Mercedes model they will buy that’s one better than their neighbor, and get out of the way of the new generation of dreamers.

@arnop.9865 speak for yourself. I know many Armenians who are well accomplished, now and over the decades...across the globe. The national leaders in Yerevan have went from soviet mentality to what Ara Baliozian calls Ottoman mentality. What remains of historic Armenia is held hostage to people too bitter and resentful of actual accomplished persons to let them help. Just like tashnags in the diaspora. Armenian potential is seen in sciences, business, and other non-politicial endeavors. When a grown up leader in Yerevan is able to help bridge the strong from the diaspora to Yerevan, instead of the perpetual parade of scams, then Armenia will rise from the ashes like Israel. Until then, they will be no better than the Palestinians.

@@baronarmenian5019 Exceptions are not excuses. The rest of your comments should not be addressed to me as some sort of rebuttal. If you think Armenians have been dreaming big, wonderful for you. Have a nice day.

@@arnop.9865 I distinguish between Armenians and Armenian leaders/citizens. I have never been to Yerevan and probably never will.
