    Exactly, we need to move on and show the world who we really are - strong, creative, talented, beautiful, educated, inventive and the least is endless so we are not victims but we are the builders of our future and we must take the responsibility and go on be strong and be in shape to punish those who will try to make us victims again.

    the difference between us Armenians and Azeris/Turks are that we Armenians talk a lot and the Azeris/Turks waste no time and act (violence, kill and blame etc...). If we keep talking in a soft manner, we will become instinct. History proved it times and times again.

    But I’ve seen many Armenians going on azeri channels and making all kinds of statements insulting to their ethnicity. I don’t know their motivation: desire to be noticed, the sentiment of inferiority but they are doing that and watching this is quite painful

    I enjoyed the interview! Just one small comment if I may on the recognition of the Armenian genocide. I think Armenia should spend zero time on either brow beating Turkey or trying to make Turkey want to recognize the Armenian genocide, neither of those are going to work. The goal should be to make the rest of the world recognize the Armenian genocide, making the Turkish position of historical revisionism untenable. That's how you're going to finally force Turkey to recognize their history, and Armenia has already made big strides on this front. Armenia has convinced 32 countries to recognize the Armenian genocide, while Turkey has succeeded in zero cases at convincing any country to deny the Armenian genocide.

    I think instead of trying to convince the world that the genocide actually happened, Armenia should’ve filed a law suit against turkey in international court of justice

    Yes, we enjoyed this clip tremendously. But just a comment: I didn’t quite understand your point on what exactly we, Armenians, should do with turkey not being able to recognise their own history. It is again we, Armenians, have to do something, it is our burden to show something, to prove something. Doesn’t really sounds fair. And about the victimhood. My stand is we are victims and always be victims simply because of the fact that we WERE victims of this awful crime against our nation. But as far as feeling as a victim: you are a victim as much as you allow your oppressor to feel superior over you. And I think, by not saying: let’s forget and move on but constantly reminding the felon about his crime we are rising above him in OUR superiority over him!

    A really odd interview with a lot of talking points thrown about. Nothing much new here. Forget history. What do Armenians have today to boast about to the world? I talking about the "collective", not individuals. Sadly, failure after failure. Patrick can wax poetically about buying a new house in Armenia, of not being able to order fod online, etc., as if such matters mean anything to the majority of Armenia's residents. Great, you now live in Armenia, but please, some humility.

  • @karinegregorian937

    @karinegregorian937

    But that’s not the point. The point Patrick is trying to make is the compliance with the mediocre and not going for the best. Why Armenians should not be able to order food on line? Because it is good enough for us the way it is? We are hearing voices saying why should we try to join the European Union? We will achieve all European requirements and at the end they will not let us in. It doesn’t cross their mind that they will be doing all these improvements for themselves!
