I think they only get the “met ____” memory if they actually talk to that person, so if they themselves don’t interact directly with the robber then they won’t get a memory of meeting them…but I could be wrong!

Gets even better. Sims will get angry with the robber but as that anger subsides in the end they will have like 100 relationship with the robber.

@@BooDotBoo I mean, TS4 will still be supported long enough, many things have come into game with updates, like small children. Problem is not "when", problem is "for how much", like how "Pets" have been chopped into Cats and dogs, rodent pack and now horses (what next, birds?). I actually enjoy playing TS4 a lot, but I buy things on the biggest discount that there are.

Also in the Sims 3, while the burglar is waiting at the car you can ask for a relationship, one time my sim asked the police to release the burglar and my sim added her to the family household and have a family. That was funny when one of the sim kid asked how did you meet.

also there is a very rare opportunity to free the burglar in the sims 2 and yes, it's not a bug. the police officer will fine you of course

In The Sims 2 University: if a student is a member of the Secret Society he can hack his grades, but if he manages to trigger the security systems, the police will arrive, fine him, return the grades to the original value and officer can also take away the computer :)

I was about to say the sims 4 should add police in an update then remembered they're with get to work (which I have actually 💀).

Idk, I played the sims games from early age and never found thieves scary. I rather considered them annoying because of negative mood buff after things being stolen and I used to put reset sim code in console

​@@chesesiein this case I would say that leaving out burglars was an intentional decision because it was a staple feature in all previous sims games. They must've talked long and thoroughly about it and decided to axe it. Everything else like no open world is definitely incompetence and laziness.

I'm pretty sure 1-3 all had "dancers" you could hire one way or another. Though Sims 1 had maybe the raunchiest dancing. It was really disappointing in 4 when they did bachelor/bachelorette parties without the ability to hire a dancer

The most ironic and contradictory part about The Sims 4 is that there’s a whole career of being a cop/detective and was primarily marketed with this profession when they released the Get To Work expansion pack, yet cops don’t actually exist outside of your sims’ job lol. So they had the NERVE to sell a $40 expansion pack where you get to work as a cop, but didn’t even take the time to add actual NPC cops and robbers to the game💀

Dude let me tell you, some Sims 3 police in certain neighborhood (Moonlight Falls) are freaking useless. They can't catch a burglar because they lose fight / have Friendly personality 😂

Sims 2 was ahead of its time. It seems as time went on (mostly Sims 4) it was just all cash grabs. I remember when the base game dropped, they hadn’t even put in pools.

I still hope for Police (not only as carreer) and Burglars in TS4. This game needs more unexpected events.

Had a robber in the sims2 steal my stuff. Police caught him , won and were like: "Youll find the stuff he stole in your inventory" I checked in there and what did the guy steal_ one of the many expensive tvs, other electronics or expensive kitchen stuff?? Nooo the f*cking toilet XD

Love these comparisons. As kids we'd pick a sim to do the crime career (despite or perhaps because of those burglars & their scare chords). It would still surprise us if and often when the game had the police intervene from the career side of things

One time police came to my house and she was friend of one of my sims. After arresting the burglar, she just casually joined my sim in a living room to watch TV 😂

In TS2:U, a police officer will wear Secret Society uniforms, and kidnap new inductees in a limo. In both TS2/3, your sims can also release the burglars after captured by the police. If you have the Miner in TS3, you can dig at the police station to free criminals too. I find it so comical that speedy vampires in TS3 just teleport to police vehicles, when they certainly can outrun the officers in pursuit. Also, not so realistic for teens to run right to the police car too. 🤷‍♀️ I love the intricate details of Sims 2, especially when returning the teens after getting caught sneaking out, they lecture the parents. Also, if you have butlers in Sims 2, they will autonomously call the police if you happen to invite or bring home (from work), a burglar. It will result in a fine, this could be quite costly, without mods...lol 😂

The Sims 4 does have police in it in the Get to Work expansion pack but it’s only a profession that your sims can work with along with being a scientist and doctor.

I think this is the first i saw the sims 3 police caught or atleast met the bugler. Most of the time in my gameplay the police is always late.

I remember in Sims 3 my criminal Sim got arrested but just as he went into the Police station his phone rang and I told him to answer it. He then appeared outside the station talking on his phone. At the end of the call he just stood outside and no one told him to go back in, so I just made him go home. It didn't work the next time he got arrested though.

In Sims 4 Police was only in Get To Work as playable work called as Detective 👮‍♂️

I feel like 2009 was just not a good year to release Sims 3, it was way too ambitious for the tech they had back then and it made us lose a lot of good things from Sims 2, it did give us many features that future life sims can add though. I'm glad that Life By You is getting delayed so that they can work on the character models and features more, if only this was done to Sims 3...

Sims 2 did it the best,follwed by Sims 1
