So... I have a brand-new LT 15 Start on the way! I worked in the sawmill industry as a saw filer for 20 years before military connected disabilities finally took me out of it. But somewhere along the way, sawmilling got into my blood. My son and I are starting our own small business! Can't wait. I may start a channel here on YT. Anyway, looking into portable sawmills is what brought me to your channel. I enjoy your content and I've learned a few things too. The mill where I worked either wouldn't have cut that log because of too many knots or they would have saved it to make 6X6's for the stacks of lumber. Y'all rescued it and turned it into beautiful lumber. Great job and great video!

Go to your local Harbor Freight and get a 24 or 30 inch wand to blow the dust and keep your face further away. Have fun and stay safe

You need to coat you rail on the woodmizer with transmission fluid thats what they recommend to prevent wear on the rail you may have done it but I've never seen you do that!!

I would like to know how that saw runs only on a track on one side and how it cuts a straight cut. I can see it does a good job but with the motor and the saw sticking off I would think it would bounce. Just a question about how it works.

Nice job!! I was wondering what you do with the knots? I have a wood lathe. They look like they could make a neat little candy dish.

I’ve been wanting to ask you ever since you got your LT 40 if you are happy, not having the debarker? I ordered my LT 40 without the debarked also. Should be here soon💥💥

I mean I like the debarker. I have had it on mills in the past. I for sure don’t find it necessary.

That, to me, looks like a log with more slab than usable lumber.

When the saw comes back to the beginning to start over, how far does it drop down….is that 2” or 1 1/2”? Also, on your first cuts when it’s cutting off the bark and trying to even out the log, what do you do with the scrap pieces?

So if cut green, how much does it shrink? If you want 1-1/2 dry do you have to cut 1-5/8 green?
