Simplified Paper Piecing and Perfect Points

Learn to paper piece using only one piece of paper. Also learn to piece perfect points. It's so easy! I was inspired when I watched Quilt Maven Dave on Ricki Tims and Alex Anderson's The Quilt Show and came up with my own variation of Dave's techniques.

This is a lovely way to be accurate. I have not seen this before. I cannot wait to try it! I think I might try using some of my old polyester thread instead of the floss. Do you know if that makes a difference? The storm at sea pattern is on my life list of quilts, but I've been intimidated by those points. Thank you!

I haven't tried it with polyester thread. Just make sure it's good and strong because you have to tug on it a bit. The dental floss pulls out rather easily though. Give it a try and let me know how it works.

This very similar to the freezer paper technique. My problem with the freezer paper is if you need to used it over and over again it loses its ability to stick after you use it four or five times. I love the dental floss trick.
