    Thank you so much for this video. I've been searching online for this particular serger technique; yours is exactly what I needed. I was looking for a method to do a single-fold Hong Kong finish using my serger. Thanks a million.

    I tested your technique today and I got the perfect result. I adjusted the lugs on my single-fold binder (mine is the rake version). I got the bottom fabric to be completely encased by the looper threads. No need to trim the excess fabric. Now to tackle the unlined jacket using your Hong Kong finish. Thank you again.

    If you use mod podge to seal in iron on transfers do your bowls stick together?

  • @SoEasyQuilts
    @SoEasyQuilts5 күн бұрын

    I've never tried that. I think it would depend on the iron on transfer as some of them have a rubbery feel that Mod Podge would peel off of it.

    That was done with the outlining function in the IQ Designer (Babylock machines like the Destiny or Solaris) or My Design Center (Brother machines like the Dream Machine or Luminaire) built into the machine. It was part of a private class. I plan on doing a public video about it in the future.

    Can you "justify" multiple lines of text so that the right and left margins line up? If so, how can you do this in Embrilliance?

  • @SoEasyQuilts
    @SoEasyQuilts19 күн бұрын

    Embrilliance only right OR left justifies, but it doesn't mean the same thing it does in word processing software. In this instance it means to set the right or left alignment of the text box. In order to justify both sides at the same time, I would to keep each line separate; and then use the spacing controls on each line to expand or shrink the line until the right and left boundaries are the same. I hope this helped--Geri

    I just found this video and I enjoyed it very much but, what I want to do is to make it a peekaboo candy mugrug with vinyl and fabric on back, what vinyl do I use? Thank you.

  • @SoEasyQuilts
    @SoEasyQuilts2 ай бұрын

    I would use a medium weight uphostry vinyl that you can find at Joanne's. I prefer to use a fusible vinyl that you can iron onto fabric, It's a lighter weight, doesn't bulk up the seams, and you can press it.
