Simple Workbench

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is a workbench that I built for my apartment so that I have more space to work on projects and store tools and other items. It is seventy two inches wide by thirty inches deep with three quarter inch birch plywood on the top shelf. The bottom shelf is sixty two inches wide by twenty seven inches deep with half inch birch plywood for the deck. I used a total of forty half inch by three inch long oak dowels instead of screws which made this project much more difficult. If I would have taken a different approach to my build, it wouldn't have been quite as bad, but I, I like all woodworkers, are pretty much constantly still learning so I'm happy with this build. I ended up hiding thirty six screws in this workbench as well. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions in regards to this build or any others that you see posted on my channel and I'll do my very best to get back to you as quickly as possible. Please consider subscribing to my channel if you would like to see other woodworking videos and/or you like my style of presentation. I greatly appreciate your support and encouragement. Posted below will be some affiliate links to some of the items used in this build. If you click on these links and make a purchase, I will get a commission. This is one way you can help support me and my channel. Thank you for everything. Talk to you again soon.
As always, thank you to Jonny Welch for my CAD models.

I'm on Instagram Curtis_Made_It if you would like to contact me. T-shirts will be available on a per order basis right now. I don't have the funds or following to keep dozens of these on hand. These will help support and promote my channel and I would be eternally grateful if you would take this step in supporting me and the small creator, Jen G, that I work with to produce these.

@Jeremy Mcmurtrey Hey Jeremey, thanks a million times my brother. I aim to inspire and encourage new and existing woodworkers with my KZread channel. Comments like yours here let me know I'm aiming for the right things, and apparently, achieving some of those goals. I'll keep posting the best stuff I can for you. I really appreciate your support and motivation here. No one has called me "The People's Champ of Woodworking" yet...this is powerful. Stay blessed Jeremy, I look forward to talking with you again in the future my friend. Take care.

Mr. Curtis , you have all the the skills of a master craftsman, My Dad was a master at woodworking, I think you are there with him. Keep going, he did not have the tools you have, he was old school, you have what it rakes

@Jimmie Hauge Thanks so much Mr. Jimmie. You always have really wonderful things to say and I can't thank you enough for helping to keep me motivated to keep creating. I'm hardly at the skill level that your dad was, but I genuinely appreciate the comparison. Making these videos is very fun for me, but it is an incredibly tedious and time consuming task. Knowing that people like you are actually enjoying what I am doing makes it worth every single ounce of effort. I think I've got some patio chairs on the way next...I need a place to sit down somewhere after doing all of this. Thank you a million times for your continued enthusiastic support.

Wow, nice solid construction. Why the wooden dowels instead of screws, for weight bearing? Cool vid, cool shirt too.

@Chris Love Just wanted to see the wooden dowels from the outside...will be a conversation starter...try something new. I believe it would be stronger with the 1/2" dowels instead of screws, but I'm not totally sure. Thanks for stopping by broskie.
