    How does the channel not have more views? This stuff is great! The haters have never had to produce anything on a schedule or on a budget, I guess. Your techniques are fast and "good enough" depending on requirements. Simple is good. Simple is maintainable. Simple is easier to modify when the customer changes stuff at the last minute. :)

    Thanks Jim! Art-directable is the way to go. I’d been making a living completely in 3D for a very long time. I luckily don’t get too many haters lol. 99% of this job is working smart and knowing when to completely build out highly detailed assets, and when to spend your time in other places. As for views, meh, KZread… lol. Thanks!!

    You are really into old school techniques and you use a lot of old school work flows.... That's why I love your videos, I am the same, love box modelling.... So much sculpt/retopo stuff out there,.. really missing the old quick box modelling method.

  • @KevBinge

    @KevBinge

    Oh yeah. Old school just works. If I need lots of variety and chaos I’d use new techniques with crowds in Houdini but for lots of stuff, old school is way easier to control. It’s all about doing a needs assessment before first pixel 😁. I hope all is well there!!

    You’re welcome! You could do either or if I remember correctly. I’d need to be in front of a computer to be sure at the moment. I’d play with either and see what makes the most sense for you. One thing I didn’t really address is NLA, which might work here as well… or geometry nodes, which might yield a far more malleable result. “Blender… where there are 18 ways to do anything!” lol
