I believe the best way to achieve a great braid or twist out is to set the hair. Sit under the dryer after braiding or twist that will ensure the hair is dry and it’ll reduce frizz.

You have a very nice speaking voice it's calming. Nice routine.💜 Sometimes I use two sections, but most of the time I don't section while shampooing. Braid-outs and twist-outs are rare for me I usually wear a WnG. I say braids I think it may just depend on what part of the country you grew up in.

@@GlowupwithPaige I hear a lot of ladies talk about tangles and single strand knots from wearing a WnG, but that has not been my experience. There are some ladies that I follow who do mostly WnG styling. Their channels are; What The Kink, Natural Reign, Caramel Coils, NJ Eberhart, A Love 4 Me, Embrace Natural Beauty, The Third Eye Angel, Fo Adunni, and Adorned By Nicole. They all have different hair types, lengths, and methods but successfully wear WnG without problems.

@@abiolaadeyeye1903 I don’t know what Paige might say but I would suggest never try to detangle your hair while it’s dry. Spray your hair first with WATER then apply a leave in conditioner. Then use your fingers not a comb to start detangling. Then put your hair in twists or some protective style to keep from getting matted.

Honestly I think keeping my hair moisturized. I frequently moisturize my hair throughout the week maybe 3 times. I realized when I moisturize my hair before it gets to that dry state my hair breaks less resulting in me retaining more length.

The products gave you frizz, I believe. My braid out, I use leave-in conditioner, a moisture cream and a styler. On my high porosity hair I don't get the frizz. But when I take my braids out, I use a oil on my fingers when I'm unbraiding, especially at the ends.

Next time you try that style, try a mousse not a gel. That's what I use and it creates more definition during take down. It not long last hold for days, but you dont keep your hair loose/out for long anyway, right? You re-braid or twist at night. I use Design Essential Almond and Avocado mousse. It holds me for like 3 days (I do 4 pineapples at night). Hope this helps ❤️ P.S. when I wash my hair I always section Into 6 sections 😩. My hair is high density and medium thick stands. It's so hard to get to my scalp to properly clean if I don't section that many.
